If you are fan of the kind of Metal that those wild women of the Butcher Babies put on the table then I am happy to let you know that they have just recently announced a healthy run of headlining dates. I’ve snagged the poster and the press copy along with said dates for you to indulge in so by all means…..indulge
Press Copy: BUTCHER BABIES recently wrapped the REVOLVER MAGAZINE Golden Gods Tour with Black label Society. They are now planning a full headlining U.S. Tour starting in September with special guest Anti-Mortem! The band is currently in studio with Logan Mader. Here are the dates: Continue reading The Butcher Babies Announcing Headlining Tour For 2014→
Artist: Black Label Society Venue: Best Buy Theater (New York, NY) Opener: Down, Devil You Know, Butcher Babies Date: 5/10/2014 Label: eOne Entertainment
I had last caught Black Label Society during the 2013 Gigantour that featured Megadeth and Newsted (the band with former Metallica/Voivod bassist Jason Newsted in case you were unaware). Now that tour itself actually had three more bands on the daily roster but not during its NYC stop which was instead broken up into two shows and left the one without BLS and Newsted being cancelled. For that show Zakk and the BLS boys were supporting the live release “Unblackened” which is a solid recommendation in my book because it was a heavier version of an Unplugged album and from top to bottom this was some raw stuff. There was even a video release to go along with it. Fast forwarding to where we are this evening, it was now time for what was called “The Revolver Golden Gods Tour” and this event seemed to work in tandem with the magazines own awards show. You’ve heard of “The Golden Gods Awards” right? Good, let’s continue then. The four bands on this touring package would begin with Butcher Babies, Devil You Know, Down and close out with the headlining Black Label Society. Since I always find a massive event like this of interest I would get there nice and early in order to be able to bring you thoughts and images on each of the performers. Butcher Babies would be the first item of focus – here we go. Continue reading Black Label Society @ Best Buy Theater (5/10/2014)→
Fans of In This Moment will surely dig this news as the band just recently announced that the “Hellpop Tour II” will commence in January 2014. I caught that very interesting tour back in November when they played at the Best Buy Theater and more details follow the poster.
I’ve copied some of the original press release for your edification “In This Moment are currently in the midst of their Hellpop Tour, and now the band has announced a second leg that will kick off Jan. 2. Opening bands will be Butcher Babies, Devour the Day and All Hail the Yeti. The 16-date Hellpop Tour II launches in Portland, Ore. and will traverse the country, ending up in Florida just in time for In This Moment to embark on the ShipRocked cruise. ‘Whore’ is the latest single from In This Moment’s ‘Blood’ album, and is currently climbing the rock charts. “I am so proud and excited for the world to hear ‘Whore’,” says vocalist Maria Brink. “The message behind this song is taking back control. It is about taking the power from a disgusting and degrading word and turning it back around on the accuser. It’s about self-empowerment, love and liberation. This is an honest and raw movement that needs to be heard.” Continue reading In This Moment Brings The “Hellpop Tour II” In 2014→
