Metallica To Release Colored Vinyl Albums Exclusively At Walmart

2021 will be kicking off with a load of new colored vinyl coming to Walmart stores across the U.S. The Black Album and Hardwired…To Self-Destruct will be available alongside remastered versions of Kill ‘Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and …And Justice for All in new and exclusive colors while supplies last.

All six albums will hit Walmart store shelves on January 29, but stock is limited. Reserve yours today by pre-ordering directly from Walmart.com.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: While I’m not the biggest of the vinyl collectors these days I just might have to break that stand and order myself copies of these releases and set them aside for the archive. I’m not too sure I want to do mail order of vinyl since I have little experience in this practice. I know a lot of my friends do it all the time so maybe its a non-issue. There isn’t a Walmart near our Metal Sanctum Sanctorum so its probably my only option. I do have a number of these albums remastered editions on CD already so as I close this news up I wonder what you think about it all. Will you be purchasing? The mighty Metallica has really been keeping the Metal Media on point with all the news and coolness related to their brand-new album “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct” which was released only a couple of weeks ago. First, we had fiery singles being unveiled that led us to believe that something special was at hand and then in the days before the album’s release we saw videos for every single song in a massive streaming takeover. Whew. Metallica were not simply going to put this album out and hit the interview circuit. It was all about the domination and honestly, the new release kicks some serious ass and that makes me happy to share the latest press from their team that speaks to the successful reception of the new Thrashing Metal. Take a look down below and I will return with some brief thoughts.

I seem to be doing a whole lot of Metallica related news items over these past few weeks and even more now that the brand new album is heading our way. I don’t mind of course since its Metallica and the new songs sound so damned good. Check out this press release about their latest plans and then I’ll return with some closing thoughts.

In an unprecedented move for Metallica, the band will release music videos for each song from their forthcoming album, Hardwired…To Self-Destruct starting today at 12:00 PM EST on www.metallica.com and simultaneously with editorial partners around the world for every two hours. New songs and their videos will premiere right up to when the clock turns over at midnight in New Zealand, where the first official copy of the new album will be available worldwide. The videos – shot around the globe – will give fans the opportunity to hear the long awaited Metallica album two days ahead of its official November 18th release via Blackened Recordings.

It’s almost time my Metal Legions and I am speaking of nothing other than the long-anticipated release of the brand new Metallica album “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”.
