Nightwish Announce North American Return In 2016
Hey you lucky Metal ducks, you will be happy to learn that the mighty Nightwish will be returning to the North American region for a second leg on their “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” tour that will start in the beginning of 2016. This is great news if they didn’t come to your neck of the woods with the first leg. I’ve copied some of the Official Press release for you along with the poster and then I will add some thoughts of my own. Let’s get started.

Finland-based symphonic metal storytellers NIGHTWISH are pleased to announce their 26-date headlining tour of North America for 2016, launching in Sayreville, New Jersey on February 19th, hitting six Canadian cities plus Pittsburgh, Anaheim, and New Orleans, then closing out in Tampa, Florida on March 23rd. Opening for the tour will be Dutch symphonic metallers DELAIN.

Drummer Gas Lipstick Has Left HIM!!
According to my memory, I’ve been listening to the band HIM since sometime in early 2003 and have been fortunate enough to catch them in concert at least once per tour to our region since 2004. That being said I was greatly saddened to learn that drummer Gas Lipstick had decided to move on from the band after sitting in the drum chair for sixteen years. I’ve copied his official statement below this photo that I snapped at one of their shows back in 2010.
“With a heavy heart I’m announcing my departure from HIM, a magnificent band that I’ve been part of for the past 16 magical years. It has been a journey that I will remember for the rest of my life. There is no drama, bad blood or any negativity involved in my departure. I simply feel that it’s time for me to move on as a musician. I have noticed during the final stages of our last tour that my heart was not in it 100% anymore.

Nightwish Announces 2015 Headlining Tour
Hey readers, so first let me apologize for getting this news to you a couple of days later than planned but I had a few posts in queue and I don’t like to overdo it here at the PiercingMetal Command HQ. Too many items in a single day risks you not getting the proper chance to absorb something cool and with that being said, its awesome to be able to share the news that Nightwish will be returning to the US Shores next year for a Springtime Tour and bringing along Delain as well. Opening will be Dutch symphonic metallers DELAIN.
Checking in from the other side of the world amidst all the prep work for recording their new studio album, NIGHTWISH bassist & backing vocalist Marco Hietala shares the following about the band’s return to North America:
“Hi to all! Our work on the new album has been going with serious productive speed and comfortable ease at the same time. It´s going to be great to get it out to you and play these pieces live.
