Back in 2014, the legendary KISS hosted a nine date residency at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino at their event space known as “The Joint”. It was a great idea because so many other bands were doing these kind of multi-show events in the recent years but let’s face it, there is only one KISS and that made this residency something a whole lot bigger in terms of the entertainment value that the fans who attended were going to get. Now this kind of history making event is awesome for sure but also is not something that everyone can easily get to and afford since it requires much more than your ticket price. Out of town fans need to contend with travel and lodging costs along with food and drink and remember this is Vegas which is a pricy place to raise that Rock and Roll hell. Fortunately, the Hottest Band In The World decided to capture the residency on video for a special big screen showing, a PPV event and an eventual home video release on DVD and Blu-ray. Thanks to the folks at Fathom Events, NYC was going to get a chance to enjoy the film for the price of a movie ticket and would be showing this at the AMC Empire 25 in Times Square. Our theatre was way up on the fifth floor of the place so it came with a bonus escalator ride with some precarious heights as well.

The Details: KISS is one of my very favorite bands here at the PiercingMetal Command HQ and if this is news to you then you have not been paying the proper attention to the writings. Last year, KISS did a first-ever residency in Las Vegas and highlights from these epic performances have been culled together for a film entitled “KISS Rocks Vegas”. The historic residency will be shown on the big screens at select locations for one-night only thanks to the folks at Fathom Events and even better to announce is that they want a whole bunch of PiercingMetal readers at the screening as well. To Participate: KISS has remained one of the most exciting live shows for over forty years now and over the course of my own live concert adventures I think I have seen them about 25 times. Based on some of the diehards that I know, this is not even close to their concert attendances. This contest is the first ever movie ticket giveaway on PiercingMetal and I want it to be a special one. With this in mind please just give me three things about the band KISS that you love the most. It can span your favorite albums, songs, meet and greets or past concert experiences. Make this good reading because the stuff remains on the website and can likely inspire new fans as well to check them out and encourage even more giveaways of this nature. Now since there are likely newbies in the mix that want to be a part of the fun, those people can get me three solid reasons why they must be at the show. I will stress that if you are going to moan and groan about the band in today’s dynamic or want to chastise any of the members you should not even enter this giveaway because I will NOT be approving those comments. Back in April we discussed the “One Night Only” screening of “KISS Rocks Vegas” and if you didn’t see that post please click HERE so you are up to speed. I bring that one up first because that particular event is happening in a couple of weeks and I am planning on hosting a contest on PiercingMetal that will put a few of my lucky readers into the film screening for free. Now back to my already late news as the other day Fathom Events announced that Motley Crue will also get a screening for “The End” which is their final concert as a band ever. Fathom Events, Live Alliance, Eagle Rock Entertainment and Tenth Street Entertainment Present the Iconic Rock Band’s Epic Final Performance in Select Movie Theaters
NEW YORK – May 11, 2016 – On December 31, 2015, legendary rock icons Mötley Crüe completed their 35-year touring career as a band with a spectacular final concert at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles, CA, just 10 miles from the Sunset Strip where the band’s infamous and decadent career first launched. The band thrilled the sold-out arena with performances of such mega-hits as “Kickstart My Heart,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Home Sweet Home” and “Dr. Feelgood.” While not everyone was able to see their Final Show live, Crüe fans can now catch all the action when Fathom Events, Live Alliance, Eagle Rock Entertainment and Tenth Street Entertainment present “Mötley Crüe: The End” in select U.S. cinemas on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. local time for only one night.
