The shiny new 2022 year is off to a good start as the tour announcements begin to get shared across the web. This one is for the legendary founding guitarist of the mighty Manowar, Ross The Boss who has revealed an extensive European run of dates and while we are stateside we happily share the broadcast with you all. Enjoy.
The Press Release:
Ex-Manowar guitarist Ross the Boss will be spotted once more on European soil in 2022 – headlining shows on his own and appearing on festivals throughout much of the spring and into the summer (and joined on many of the dates by either Dark Embrace, and The Evolution of Fire Tour 2022 along with RAM, and Trauma ), in support of his last RTB effort, ‘Born of Fire’ on AFM. With the world slowly but surely trying to get back to normal, there are more awesome concert tours to share the news about and while we might be USA based at the PiercingMetal Media Command HQ, I’ve got to make an exception when its Ensiferum announcing a European co-headlining tour with Dark Tranquillity. Take a look at all the details below.
The Press Release:
Ensiferum released their critically acclaimed full-length, Thalassic, in 2020 via Metal Blade Records and was lauded as an album “that brings pure joy to all of their fans” (Metal Hammer Germany). The Finland-based group are extremely excited to bring the album on the road in the spring of 2022 on a co-headline run with Swedish metal masters Dark Tranquillity! To celebrate the amazing news, the band released a new video for the fan favorite cut “Run from the Crushing Tide” from Thalassic. The Vesa Ranta (Solstafir, Dark Tranquillity, Swallow the Sun) directed video can be seen below: Continue reading Ensiferum and Dark Tranquillity Announce European Co-Headlining Tour→
Since the European Tour circuit seems to be opening up a lot earlier than our own here in the USA, I figured it couldn’t hurt to share the news from some of the powerful Metal artists that will be hitting the boards in the immediate future. This alert comes from the folks in Beast In Black. Take a look at the poster down below and I’ll return at the close.
Let’s face it. Nowadays the words “cancelled”, postponed” and “rescheduled” are an almost hourly part of the discussion with many artists and entertainment prospects forced to use them. This brings me to the latest information from the mighty Nightwish who have moved some European dates a little farther ahead than was originally planned.
Some of you already saw this coming but due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic we are forced to move our European tour dates to late 2021. Previously purchased tickets will remain valid for all rescheduled dates. On top of this, we were able to announce a new date in Dublin, Ireland! 🇮🇪 This will be the second time in Nightwish history that we will play here! AMORPHIS will be our Special Guests on this tour with support by TURMION KÄTILÖT. Continue reading Nightwish Reveals Updated 2021 European Tour Dates→

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve been listening to Pearl Jam since the very beginning and was the first of my own circle to even know about them thanks to my assisting a popular local radio program when the bands debut album was being introduced to stations such as his. Heck, I even had a strong background in Mother Love Bone where some members hailed. It was a different time in music for sure as a new genre was stepping in and moving other forms of sound aside. That being said, I still never managed to catch Pearl Jam in concert much less cover them as a media person for this here website. I think it would be fun to do that so let’s cross our fingers and see if they announce a US run when the new year arrives. As I close this I wonder how many of you are planning some festival visits based on this news. You can chime in down below in the comments because I’d love to hear from you. See you next time.
