Hey friends, we are getting down to the wire here with the coverage of the 2018 New York Comic Con and this is the final chapter of the Day Three offerings. While many of you have been with us for the journey so far we know there are some newbies among you and those folks should click HERE first to see all of the chapters that have come before this latest one.  With this installment I focused on a lot of the cosplayers and will only be chiming in on occasion.  How many of the characters can you name?  Let’s go.

Exploring New York Comic Con 2018: Day Two (Part 1)

Greetings Readers and welcome back to the continuing presentations from the 2019 New York Comic Con. I’m now up to Day Two of the offerings but if you missed any of the Day One stuff you are so going to want to click HERE first to enjoy all of the chapters that preceded this one. I say this since I tend to refer back to pieces across the journey and I don’t want you to fall behind. Go ahead and look, I’ll wait – welcome back 🙂 So after Day One ended, I headed up to Paul Booth’s Last Rites Gallery to see the unveiling of a brand new graphic novel that is based on story ideas from Black Veil Brides singer Andy Black. Check out that summary by clicking THIS LINK.

To start off my day, I hit a press conference, panel or whatever that was called “From The Stage To The Page” and this was going to feature notable musical talent who have all worked on the comic book medium. Among these artists are Steve Aoki, Andy Black, Lights and the legendary Darryl McDaniels (aka DMC). Here are a few visuals from the panel, I did not record anything because I don’t think that ReedPOP likes that stuff. Don’t want to mess with the organizers after all.

Musician Andy Biersack & Z2 Comics Unveil Cover For “The Ghost Of Ohio”

The Press Release:
Coming on the heels of the recent release of Apocrypha: The Legend Of BabyMetal, Z2 Comics is pleased to announce their next title is a collaborative partnership with musician Andy Biersack (Black Veil Brides/Andy Black). The Ghost Of Ohio is a graphic novel based on an original story idea created by Biersack alongside the creative team of Z2 Comics: Josh Frankel and Sridhar Reddy. Scott Tuft, known for his work on the Severed and Swamp Thing titles, is writing the comic with Biersack. Artist Eryk Donovan, best known for his Batman creations, created the cover that was unveiled at a gathering in New York City on October 4th. The Ghost Of Ohio is scheduled for release in mid-2019. Pre-orders for The Ghost Of Ohio will be announced in the near future and fans can go to https://www.z2comics.com/ for more information.

“I am so excited to finally be able to share the news about ‘The Ghost of Ohio’ graphic novel and upcoming solo record of the same name and inspired by the comic book story. The truth is that I would never have discovered my love of rock music without my passion for comic books and characters like Batman and Spawn, which ultimately lead me to larger than life bands like KISS and The Misfits. To be able to combine my love of the graphic novel medium with a concept record is a dream come true and something I have wanted to do for many years. Working with the Z2 Comics team and alongside Scott Tuft and Eryk Donovan to bring this dream to reality has been an incredible process. The story takes place in southwestern Ohio and spans across historical eras from the 1800’s to modern day. ‘The Ghost of Ohio’ is a tale of loneliness, redemption and strength and I hope both the album and book capture that tone while giving people some fun entertainment to escape into!” explains Andy Biersack.
