The Official Statement:
Dear fans of Eluveitie,

It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Chrigel will not be able to join us on our upcoming North American tour due to a family emergency. Chrigel has had to make the difficult decision to stay at home and take care of certain matters, and we fully support him in this time of need.

This decision was made at the very last minute, which is why we are only able to announce it today, on the day of our first show. We understand that this news may come as a surprise, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. However, we want to assure you that we are fully prepared to deliver a one-of-a-kind Eluveitie set, with Fabi taking the lead and showcasing her incredible talents.

Eluveitie Cancels North American Fall Tour

The Metal World just received the news that the famed ProgPower USA Festival for 2020 had been cancelled (discussed HERE) and now, the holiday weekend ends with similar news from the Eluveitie Camp about their scheduled Fall tour. Eluveitie Announces North American Fall Tour

For me it feels like I was just talking about and enjoying the band Eluveitie since they were only here back in October of last year at the now shuttered Playstation Theater (bow in humble respect). Moments ago, the band revealed their plans to return to the states for another visit and we NYC Metalheads are lucky since we get two nights of Folk Metal mayhem at the Gramercy Theatre. The Press Release:
Swiss folk metal giants ELUVEITIE will make their awaited return to North America in fall 2020 for an extensive tour that will kick off in West Palm Beach, FL on September 21st and will culminate in Houston, TX on October 25th. The band is doing a victory lap run of the territory in support of their widely acclaimed 2019 record, Ategnatos, that’s available now from Nuclear Blast. Tour dates listed below.
