On October 4, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of LIVE’s groundbreaking sophomore album Throwing Copper, Radioactive/MCA/UMe will release a vinyl version of the multi-platinum-selling album in two configurations, a standard black 2LP as well as a limited-edition red vinyl + olive green vinyl. The vinyl releases are in addition to the already available Super Deluxe 25th Anniversary Throwing Copper box set edition, deluxe digital version, as well as a standalone 1CD set. First released on April 26, 1994, Throwing Copper transformed LIVE into one of the most lyrically impactful and instrumentally powerful bands of the modern alternative-rock era. Topping the Billboard 200 Albums chart a year after its debut, Throwing Copper also features two No. 1 Modern Rock singles (“Lightning Crashes,” “Selling The Drama”) and has since been certified 8x multiplatinum by the RIAA, selling over 8 million copies.

Seminal rock bands +LIVE+ and BUSH are joining forces for The ALT-IMATE Tour, a high-powered co-headline summer run that will see these two iconic acts celebrating the 25th anniversary of their respective landmark albums Throwing Copper and Sixteen Stone. Produced by Live Nation, this hits-packed road show will hit arenas and outdoor amphitheaters in 33 cities across the country, kicking off June 6th in Mashantucket, CT with stops in Boston, Los Angeles, Atlanta and more before wrapping September 8th in Rochester, MI at Meadow Brook Amphitheatre.

“We are thrilled to be touring this summer with LIVE,” says BUSH frontman Gavin Rossdale. “The wealth and depth of songs from both bands should provide a great night of music. Looking forward to seeing you all this summer.”

Counting Crows Announce “25 Years and Counting” Tour w/Live

Now that all the April Fool’s jokes are done and gone and I admit that I fell for a couple of them across the course of the day yesterday, its time to get back to work and share the real news that is happening in the Music and Media scene of the world. I’ve a tour or three to showcase and this one speaks to the 25 Anniversary of the band Counting Crows. They’ll be joined by Live so let’s get right on down to business with the full press release, dates and artwork. Read on.

After more than two decades and 20 million albums sold globally, Counting Crows will celebrate 25 years of making music by hitting the road for a worldwide “25 YEARS AND COUNTING” tour, starting with a 40+ city trek across North America this summer. Presented by Live Nation, the tour will begin June 27 in Boise, ID and travel across cities such as San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver, Atlanta, Tampa, New York, Boston, Toronto and Chicago before concluding September 22 in Nashville, TN. Joining the tour is multi-platinum band +LIVE+.

Original Line-Up of +Live+ To Reunite For 2017 World Tour

While 2016 found several bands ending their musical projects together after many years, it seems that in 2017 shall come with some reunions which is pretty cool news. Here’s the skinny on the band Live who will be hitting the road at some point in the new year. The full press release comes below the logo.

The original line-up of +LIVE+–Ed Kowalczyk (vocals, guitar), Chad Taylor (guitar, backing vocals), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass) and Chad Gracey (drums, percussion)–have reunited for a worldwide tour including North America in 2017. The band is now writing and recording new music TBA. *See the Q&A with the band below.

Known as one of the most potent alternative rock acts and concert attractions–with their powerful musical dynamics, vocal fervor and questing lyrics–+LIVE+ will announce tour dates in the new year. The itinerary will be a mix of select headlining shows and key festival appearances.

2017 will mark the 25th anniversary of their debut album Mental Jewelry (released December 31, 1991). The multi-platinum band from Pennsylvania have sold over 22 million albums worldwide and earned two number one albums (Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi). Their catalog is filled with such gems as “Lightning Crashes,” “I Alone,” “All Over You,” and “Lakini’s Juice,” which live on today as classics at rock radio.
