Release Date: 1/8/2018

We’re only about ten days out from the next full length Black Label Society album “Grimmest Hits” and with the timing so close, I was actually surprised to find another single being released with “Trampled Down Below”. I guess it was about a month ago that I shared the news about not only the upcoming BLS Tour (seen HERE in case you missed it) but also about their forthcoming in January album “The Grimmest Hits”. Well, the time has come for the first single from said album to be given a few thoughts about and here we go into the Berzerker fray to discuss what Zakk Wylde and Company are planning on dishing out. Zakk starts off with a softer voice and riff before a crunching, very Doom-laden flow take over. The tune itself is a powerful and moody groove and when the chorus came in there was some slight Alice In Chains vibe to it. I didn’t mind this at all since today there are influences pulled from everywhere.
