Hey there my friends, it’s good to see you on this rainy Monday. It’s my hope that you are doing well under the circumstances because I know is been tough on all of us with the uncertainty and being isolated for days and now weeks. This is my fourth post about the free Dynamite first issues on ComiXology and if you missed the information on the other ones just click HERE to see the previous rundowns. There was some good stuff being released via this medium and with no physical comic books coming for the foreseeable future this helps keep ones love of the hobby in play. Let’s look shall we?

Hello friends, I am back once more to share the news about Dynamite Entertainments continuing program of free first issues via the ComiXology service. It’s sure been a week of trying news if you have the television broadcast on regularly but I remain hopeful for a light at the end of the tunnel. Dynamite Entertainment Pausing All Digital & Book Market New Releases

The Press Release:
Dynamite announces an immediate pause to all digital distribution for new comic book releases with an original release date starting with April 1.

This decision is in keeping with the industry at large, supporting all business partners in the most responsible manner, and making sure all fans are served the stories they desire on a level playing field. Book market releases that have not already been shipped are on pause as well.

Dynamite has already announced developing returnability options for retailers and a reshaped release schedule for comics intended for release in July and available to preorder in May. Fans are encouraged to continue reading and purchasing the comics they love at this time through whichever means they prefer, to support this community and art form cherished by many.

Dynamite & ComiXology Offering Free First Issues During COVID-19 Quarantine

A few days ago I shared the news about the postponement of the annual “Free Comic Book Day” based on the current infiltration of the Coronavirus Pandemic. If you missed that one based on all the news coming at us please click HERE to be up to speed. In light of this, here is an update from the folks at Dynamite Entertainment.

The Press Release:
Starting today Dynamite will offer select first issues for free through ComiXology over the next few weeks, for fans quarantined or practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some of the best writers and artists in comic books today have their work featured in these issues, including Garth Ennis, Andy Diggle, James Robinson, Alex Ross, Darick Robertson, Max Bemis, Steve Niles, Duane Swierczynski, Bill Willingham, Amy Chu, Jim Zub, Cullen Bunn, Marguerite Bennett, Moritat and more!
