Wacken Open Air 2021 Announces First Lineup

All 75,000 tickets for W:O:A 2021, which will take place from July 29 to 31 2021, have already been sold! The organizers have now announced the first bands on the festival line-up! Metal fans can look forward to: Judas Priest, Hämatom, Dropkick Murphys, As I Lay Dying, Rose Tattoo, Tarja, Lordi, Death SS, Venom and Moonspell.
This years Wacken Open Air couldn‘t take place due to the current pandemic. Although it’s much more quiet in the small village Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, the tradition announcing bands for the upcoming edition during the last festival day still remains!

Dropkick Murphys Announce “Streaming Up From Boston” On St. Patrick’s Day

Dropkick Murphys are throwing a St. Patrick’s Day party this year and the whole world is invited. Dropkick Murphys’ Streaming Up From Boston online concert will be simulcast worldwide on Tuesday, March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) at 7:00 PM ET / 4:00 PM PT via the band’s YouTube, Facebook Live and Instagram pages, as well as via Twitch.

Dropkick Murphys founder Ken Casey explains, “For the first time in 24 years, we are not playing on St. Patrick’s Day weekend. The current world situation is the ONLY thing that would ever stop us from doing so.”
Dropkick Murphys’ originally scheduled hometown St. Patrick’s Day Week Boston Blowout shows have been postponed until later this year. Visit the links at the close for details. The band recently released the single “Smash Sh*t Up,” and will release a new album on September 11 through the band’s own Born & Bred Records. “Smash Sh*t Up” is available digitally and on limited edition colored vinyl paired with B-side “The Bonny,” a cover of Gerry Cinnamon’s 2019 song. Dropkick Murphys Postpone “Boston Blowout” Shows Amid Coronavirus Concerns
We’ve been paying close attention to the concerns about this Coronavirus Pandemic that has been on the news almost constantly for the last few days and has found tours and events such as Devin Townsend, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Pearl Jam, SXSW Festival and E3 Expo either postponed or cancelled altogether. Now comes the news from the Dropkick Murphys who are being health conscious and postponing that fun bunch of shows they were calling the “Boston Blowout”. Take a look down below.

Hi everyone – Due to the Coronavirus, we’ve decided to take the prudent step to postpone our remaining St. Patricks Day Boston shows and boxing event. With a State of Emergency declared in Massachusetts, we feel this is the only responsible decision. We don’t want to be part of aiding the further spread of this virus.
