Win A Ticket To See Doro @ B.B. King’s On 9/10/2017

The Details: Doro Pesch is truly a Metal Queen and for more than thirty years she has been delivering the goods with her bands. We all learned of her from Germany’s Warlock and this tour is a special one as it celebrates the 30th Anniversary of that bands “Triumph and Agony” album. I understand that Doro will be delivering this release in full during her shows along with numerous other hits and having seen her so many times can say that you don’t want to miss this gig at B.B. King Blues Club. With that being said I am honored to announce that thanks to the fine folks in Marketing that some lucky PiercingMetal readers will be seeing this show for free. Check out the details on how to participate.

When and Where: Sunday, September 9th @ B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St., NYC)

To Participate: I’ve decided to keep this an easy one and by saying that I mean I will be sticking to my usual formula of you readers giving me “3” things that you like most about the band if you have heard them already and if you are a newbie just give me “3” things that you are most interested in about their performance. Perhaps there are albums that “spoke” to you or concert appearances that sent you to the music shop to snag some of the band members earlier works. Just give me three solid answers and how important it is to be at this show. I know I make you work but I work here too so whining will not win out at all LOL. Make this good reading because the stuff remains on the website and can likely inspire new fans as well on how our freebies work. Plus I think Doro herself will be looking at this contest and you ALWAYS want to impress such a legendary figure. Writing “because they rock dude” is just too un-original and boring. I’ll be responding to the comments that I like most right below their answer. Kindly review some guidelines before entering your submission.

Doro Pesch Celebrates 30th Anniversary Of Legendary “Triumph And Agony” w Special US Tour

1987 was a great year for Heavy Metal music and one of the awesome releases that should be in your collection is Warlock’s “Triumph and Agony”. It arrived in September 1987 and while the bands fourth album, was the very first release that a whole bunch of Metal heads had as their introduction to the amazing Doro Pesch. Now, while I am assembling a few posts based on the exploration of the “Five Points Festival”, I was happy to pause that side of the creative efforts and share the news about the singer announcing a celebratory special run of US dates in honor of that albums 30th Anniversary. Take a look below and know that I will return at the close.

The Press Release:
Released in 1987, Triumph And Agony is the fourth studio album from German heavy metal titans WARLOCK. The record was a mammoth success globally with hit singles and MTV’s Headbangers Ball favorites “All We Are” and “Für immer” among other now-pinnacle anthems like “East Meets West”, “Metal Tango,” “I Rule The Ruins,” and “Touch Of Evil.” Triumph And Agony stands among heavy metal’s true cult classics.

Gushed Decibel Magazine of the zenith offering, “Triumph And Agony contains one glorious anthem after another for the duration of its (too short) forty-minute run time. ‘All We Are’ is the big fist-pumper, their ‘Rock You Like A Hurricane’ or ‘You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’.’ ‘Three Minute Warning’ absolutely scorches, something Accept would have been proud to write. ‘I Rule The Ruins’ lays waste to everything and THEN rules it. ‘Kiss Of Death’ provides the requisite tragic vampire soliloquy, and ‘Make Time For Love’ provides the requisite drama ballad. ‘East Meets West’ taps some serious spine with its love letter to the Land Of The Rising Sun, while ‘Metal Tango’ may be the only, well, metal tango. And then there’s ‘Touch Of Evil,’ which ends with one of the most astonishing vulgar displays of screeching ever recorded.”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Hey there my friends, the only thing that I can add here is that if you get the chance to catch Doro in concert please do it because she remains one of the most enthusiastic of the Metal performers currently out there performing. She is true blue and even though this run is really short, it will do her fans some good when they get out and support. See you next time. Keep rocking Doro.

Doro Announces Brief East Coast Tour w/Madame Mayhem

Just a quick post to share the news that Doro Pesch has announced a few East Coast dates for the Metal Legions and she’ll be bringing Madame Mayhem along for the run. Check out the poster below as it lines them all out rather clearly.

Tour - Doro - 2016

PiercingMetal Thoughts: What can I say about Doro that I have not already said somewhere else on this site. I just love this woman and everything she stands for when it comes to Heavy Metal music. She puts on a fantastic show and is all about her fans from beginning to end. These dates might only be a few but she and the guys are hitting some places that have not been adventured to in quite some time. She’ll also be travelling with Madame Mayhem who is an up and coming rocker with a promising new release and live set. If you can make any of these gigs be sure to catch them both because you will not regret it. What do you think of these tour dates? Let me know in the comments below.
