We’ve been sharing the intelligence secured from the folks behind the scenes at the much vaunted Wacken Open Air Festival (as seen HERE) and while it’s a new month for their side of the fence, its still Halloween over here in the states and what better a day to share news involving their event and the insanity that is Slipknot. Read on.

The Press Release:

Udo Dirkschneider is back in the New York groove and presenting his “All Accept, All Night”. If you’ve longed for his voice behind the bands classic numbers then you know where you have to be tonight.

The Details: You know Udo Dirkschneider as the original voice behind the classic tunes of the mighty Accept and while he appeared on these shores back in 2013, there wasn’t a whole lot of Accept to his set list. Those shows left fans craving his pipes on the classics once more and now it seems that he will be returning to perform a 100% Accept set list. He’s stated that this will be the last time that he ever does this but who knows in Metal at the end of the day. Good ideas do not so easily go away. He’ll be joined by the band Black Dawn for this show and all of this makes me excited to let you know that thanks to the fine folks at CEG Music, some lucky PiercingMetal readers are going to get to enjoy the show for free. This contest will be our last for 2016 and for the first show of 2017 so I think that’s pretty cool.
When and Where: Thursday, January 5th at Stage 48 (650 West 48th Street). 7:00-11:30pm show
To Participate: The special nature of this show makes me ask all of you to leave me three solid things of what you like most about Udo and his time with Accept. Yeah he has a prolific solo career but this show is not about that so please limit it to Accept. These can be about shows you’ve seen or music you’ve loved and if you feel like impressing me you can even add a fourth (but no more). Make them good. I’ll be picking from the best submissions and letting them know right under their comment so stop standing with your balls to the wall and show me how restless and wild you can be creatively. Please review some guidelines below.
