PiercingMetal Thoughts: I liked a lot of the music of The Allman Brothers Band and while “Live At The Fillmore” remains one of my top live albums, I only managed to see the group once in concert during one of the residency nights at the Beacon Theatre. That makes me consider myself more of a casual fan but I am quite interested in this special performance because if its anything like the shows by the original The Brothers, it will be loaded with special guests and oh look who decided to drop by appearances. What do you think readers? It’s a nice way to lead into Spring don’t you think? Chime in down below when the time permits and once again Happy New Year.
Yes my friends we’ve arrived at the time when the Tedeschi Trucks Band announces their return to the Beacon Theatre in New York City for their annual residency and this will be the groups ninth such effort. That’s amazing if you ask me and as expected most of the shows will be “An Evening With” and be two long sets of music and a likely guest or three while two performances will find an as yet unnamed support act joining into the fun. Check out the dates and mark your calendar.
The Residency Dates:
September 27th: “An Evening With”
September 28th: “An Evening With”
October 1st: Opening Act TBA
October 2nd: Opening Act TBA
October 4th: “An Evening With”
October 5th: “An Evening With”
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Last year I mentioned that I wasn’t going to be able to catch them and this year will sadly find me saying the same thing because each of the shows will happen after my long day adventures at NY Comic Con and I am just beat down completely at the end of that happening. Oh well, one can’t be everywhere right? So what about you readers? What do you think of this years run of dates? Will you be in attendance at one or more? Much like The Allman Brothers Band, it seems like the fans of this group attend more than a single show and that’s pretty cool considering how pricey an evening out in the city can be nowadays. Chime in down below since it’s always great to get your thoughts on these topics and it reminds me that you are out there too. See you next time.
Fans of the Tedeschi Trucks Band or the TTB, will be excited to know that the group has officially confirmed the dates for their 2018 residency at NYC’s famed Beacon Theatre. The group has been doing these multi-night affairs for a few years now and here is the lowdown for you to mark onto your calendars so you don’t forget to come out and see a show. All six shows will be in October and feature a theme on some nights and an opening act on some of the others. At the time of this writing none of the openers have been revealed which makes sense since this is new news and many months away from happening.
The Residency Dates:
October 5th – “An Evening With”
October 6th – “An Evening With”
October 9th – Opener TBA
October 10th – Opener TBA
October 12th – “An Evening With”
October 13th – “An Evening With”
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve caught TTB a couple of times over the recent years but have never managed to do this at the Beacon Theatre. I’m not too sure I can make any of these this coming October since a few of the shows happen during the annual NY Comic Con and to be completely honest, I am dead for several days after that massive entertainment happening. What about you readers? Are you excited about this years residency at the Beacon? Chime in down below with your thoughts about it because I always love hearing from you readers.
I didn’t get this one as an official press piece but when I saw it scoot by me in Facebook yesterday I knew that I had to bring it to your attention as soon as I had a chance to do so.
