Netflix Presents: Marvel’s “The Defenders” (Official Trailer 2)

As most fans of the comic and movie media stuff we post about know, the Comic Con International: San Diego of “SDCC” is underway and will be winding down today with its fourth and final day. This convention always brings the trailers and sneak-peaks into the upcoming Fall television shows and motion pictures and as you know there is a lot coming out this year. A few months ago we shared the first trailer for the next Netflix installment of their Marvel series “The Defenders” and this is a mini-series that unites the stars of the previous shows Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist. These are the Marvel Comics “Street Level” heroes and here is the second trailer for the upcoming series. Check it out.

The Premise: Set a few months after the events of the second season of Daredevil, and a month after the events of Iron Fist, the vigilantes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist team up in New York City to fight a common enemy in The Hand. (thanks Wiki).

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I pretty much raved about the first trailer and this just excites me all the more. I really enjoyed the other shows and hope that this keeps on coming. Most of us were skeptical at the beginning and here we are now chomping at the bit for the next go at these characters. Sure I wasn’t crazy about this being called “The Defenders” since I grew up on a different team but this dynamic sure seems to work. The question remains is will we find any of these folks in the 2018 major motion picture “Avengers: Infinity War”. Part of me says “no” because they are NOT Avengers at all but neither are the Guardians Of The Galaxy, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man and they are all in there. Only time will tell for that. “The Defenders” will consist of eight total episodes and will be available for streaming in full on August 18, 2017. Marvel To Celebrate July’s “Astonishing X-Men” #1 with “X-Men Trading Card” Variants

I’ve really been enjoying the means to broadcast the awesome variant covers that have been coming our way from the Marvel Comics side of the fence and hopefully you’ve managed to secure a few of this month’s “Mary Jane Watson” variants if you are collecting this sort of thing. I lined out the assorted covers on THIS POST so make sure you give it a look over once more if you are in the comic book shop so you get them. Now its time for Marvel to celebrate the launch of the brand new title “Astonishing X-Men” which is hitting the racks in July. Marvel Comics First Issues Coming In June 2017

Hello again readers, wow is there a lot of stuff going on or what? We are only a couple of days into the month of June and I’ve already lined out a whole bunch of awesome events to bring to your attention in terms of music and stuff to read. That brings me to our Marvel Comics first issues that will be hitting the racks over the course of the month. “Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite” Goes Head To Head With New Variant Covers!

Here’s another interesting crop of variant covers from The House Of Ideas. This time around its focused on the “Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite” game and all its colorful characters. Let’s take a look at the press release and the images that were provided. I’ll close out with some editorial as well.

The Press Release:
