The 2019 film “Joker” found actor Joaquin Phoenix donning the facepaint of the Clown Prince of Crime but instead of the character we all know and love in the comics, television series and the first serious “Batman” movie he was more of a mentally distressed individual as opposed to one focused on anarchy and living life in chaos. This will surely be changed as with the film receiving two Academy Awards and I believe a Golden Globe as well, a sequel is coming and its one that also introduces us to one Harley Quinn. Lady GaGa will be handling that aspect in the film and the first teaser trailer has recently surfaced. I submit this below for your enjoyment and will add some closing thoughts afterwards.
When James Gunn announced he was now in charge of the DC Studios side of the fence and helming all of the upcoming films the fans were of mixed opinon based on many of his decisions and proposed plans. He’s clearly moving away from the previous DC Extended Universe which makes the upcoming release of “Blue Beetle” seem rather strange. I was an avid reader of the Ted Kord version of the character when he joined DC Comics from Charlton Comics (who they had purchased). The film will open this coming August and the first trailer has just premiered. Let’s take a look.

As the world is still immersed in the Coronavirus pandemic, I guess I could have predicted a considerable delay in the full Official Trailer for the upcoming Warner Brothers Pictures release “The Batman”. Of course I must admit that I didn’t think it would be more than a year in coming but I digress and if you didn’t see that post with all the other things going on in the world you can just click HERE to review it and learn my thoughts at the time. Since that time the world got the dreadful “Wonder Woman 1984” and the only okay IMHO James Gunn effort “The Suicide Squad”. Now comes the chance to give “The Batman” a better look so let’s do that shall we? Some premise and casting are below for your review. Enjoy.
