DC Comics First Issues Coming October 2019

Hey friends, I am back with more comic book solicitations for the month of October and for a change I am not skipping a day because tomorrow is the New York Comic Con and I will have my hands full for sure. Let’s get right down to business shall we?

written by JOE HILL

The rain lashes the grassy dunes of Brody Island, and seagulls scream above the bay. A slender figure in a raincoat carries a large wicker basket, which looks like it might be full of melons…covered by a bloodstained scrap of the American flag.
This is the story of June Branch, a young woman trapped with four cunning criminals who have snatched her boyfriend for deranged reasons of their own. Now she must fight for her life with the help of an impossible 8th-century Viking axe that can pass through a man’s neck in a single swipe—and leave the severed head still conscious and capable of supernatural speech.
Each disembodied head has a malevolent story of its own to tell, and it isn’t long before June finds herself in a desperate struggle to hack through their lies and manipulations…racing to save the man she loves before time runs out.
Plus, in the premiere chapter of the backup story “Sea Dogs,” which sails across all the Hill House Comics titles!

DC Comics First Issues Coming In June 2019

Now we are onto the new launches from DC Comics for those who are following our Pop Culture comic books focuses. There are not a whole lot of brand new first issues launching this month but the summer is officially approaching so we have that lull and the focus becomes hitting the movies and even going outside much more than hunkering down in your respective cave reading comic books. As always there are more continuing series running but I don’t post those and instead focus on the brand new. Images and text original from DC Comics media resources and my closing editorial is all me. Let’s look.

With startling ease, a newly dangerous and aggressive Leviathan wipes out all its competition and now turns its sights to molding the world into its vision of order. Can the new threat’s growth be stopped…and who’s guiding its new agents of chaos?

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So as you can see not a lot of brand-new launches and with these two I will most likely be waiting until they are in a single collected edition. I need to move some of my single issues over to storage or sell them off to make some room. That’s unless I love the series when I peruse them on the shelves but what about you readers? Will you be picking up either of these new series? Chime in down below and I will see you next time around.

DC Comics First Issues Coming February 2019

Whew. I hope that you readers made it out of those last few days of absolute polar temperatures. I barely made it to the corner for milk which is a MUST have for the morning coffee. Today is Super Bowl Sunday and will put the New England Patriots against the Los Angeles Rams and while we are not at all sports fans here, I do hope that the Rams destroy the Patriots since I am tired of them. What I am a fan of is the comic book scene and there are a bunch of cool launches coming from DC Comics this month. Let’s take a look.

But even though evil devoured evil in the collapse of Challengers Mountain, the Dark Knight still has his doubts. He discovers that the Batman Who Laughs not only survived the fight with The Joker at the end of METAL, but now he is enacting a sinister plan across the Multiverse—something both terrifying and oddly familiar. But when Bruce Wayne realizes the only way to stop this madman is to kill him, he must consider violating the very rule Batman won’t break…the same rule that created this insatiable villain—the Batman Who Laughs!
