In light of the recently reported sex scandal on numerous wire services regarding founding member and bassist Dave Ellefson, Dave Mustaine has released a statement which when all is said and done releases the musician from band service. I have provided said statement down below for your perusal.

Let’s start the morning with something from our “no surprise here” file with the news that the upcoming “Metal Tour Of The Year” that featured Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Trivium and In Flames has been postponed. Read on down below.

The Statement:
The summer leg of the Metal Tour of the Year with Megadeth and Lamb of God, plus special guests Trivium and In Flames, is being rescheduled to 2021. As soon as the new dates are finalized we’ll share the updated schedule, and all tickets will be honored accordingly. If you are a ticket holder and would prefer a refund, please visit livenation.com/refund for information on how and when you can claim your refund. We do not have an update on the fall leg of the tour but will share any further updates and information as we receive it. We look forward to returning to the stage.

Hopefully you didn’t get too water logged with the amount of rain that we got last night because it was coming down like buckets. I’m speaking of course to our closest regional readership so you folks in warmer sunnier climates just hang tight until I’m done. Fans that were thinking that the legendary Ozzy was going to take it nice and slow during his “Farewell Tour” have been proven wrong as the singer recently announced additional North American stops with support coming from the mighty Megadeth. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter OZZY OSBOURNE has announced additional North American tour dates for 2019. For these shows, OSBOURNE will be backed by his longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (Guitar), Blasko (Bass), Tommy Clufetos (Drums) and Adam Wakeman (Keyboards), with Megadeth supporting for the entire North American run.
