Cradle Of Filth Cancel Four Tour Dates Based On Visa Issues

Not too long ago we helped present the upcoming tour dates for the new Cradle Of Filth tour that was bringing them to our shores once more and finding support from both Butcher Babies and Ne Obliviscaris but sadly the first few dates of the tour have been cancelled based on the always problematic Visa issues which was announced yesterday. Dani Filth’s statement is below the original tour poster that was used in my larger tour posting HERE. Check it out.

Tour - Cradle Of Filth - 2016

“With a massively heavy heart, Cradle of Filth have to announce the cancellation (for now at least) of our first four shows in the U.S, because of a visa issue with the American embassy. We are doing everything in our power to rectify this situation as fast as possible. It is an nightmarish situation for all and we can only apologize for all those fans who have bought tickets. Thank you for your understanding and please be assured we are doing everything we can to be with you as soon as is humanly possible and that should be 31st January in Charlotte, North Carolina. We look forward to seeing you then. For refunds, please contact your point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

Cradle Of Filth Announce North American Headlining Tour for 2016!

Now here is some news to start off your Metal November, it seems that Cradle Of Filth will be returning to the States in early 2016 to unleash their latest Metal opus on the masses in a take no prisoners tour that features Butcher Babies and Ne Obliviscaris. Check out the poster and the provided press release. Then I will return with some thoughts on it all.

Tour - Cradle Of Filth - 2016

The Press Release:
Barbarous hellhounds CRADLE OF FILTH, will return to North America in 2016 with the “Inquisitional Torture” tour. Joining them will be NE OBLIVISCARIS and BUTCHER BABIES as support.

“CRADLE OF FILTH’s latest album, Hammer of the Witches, was brought to fruition in Britain’s Witch County, in darkest rural Suffolk at the reputedly haunted Grindstone Studios. The album’s title is named after the ‘Malleus Maleficarum,’ a medieval document of guidelines regarding the persecution and torture of witches – but CRADLE OF FILTH’s title version is more retributory: It’s the Hammer of the Witches; the hammer is in the witches’ hands and it’s payback time.

Cradle Of Filth @ Nokia Theatre Times Square (2/27/2009)

Cradle Of Filth was in NYC delivering their newest epic “Godspeed On The Devil’s Thunder” at the Nokia Theatre Times Square and the intense show would bring both Satyricon and Septic Flesh along for the ride. It was one of those Metal nights to remember and would deliver thrills, shocks and a number of other sinister treats for all in attendance.

Artist: Cradle Of Filth
Venue: Nokia Theater (New York, NY)
Opener: Satyricon, Septic Flesh
Date: 2/27/2009
Label: Roadrunner Records

The last time that Cradle toured in the USA, it was a very odd match up that found the powerful Thrash Metal might of 3 Inches Of Blood and the Gothic Hard Rock of The 69 Eyes as direct support and yet despite the seeming unevenness of the genres the show that rolled into NYC that cold night was really a good one in the end. Tonight’s lineup of course was much more suitable to be working with the likes of Cradle Of Filth and delivered not only a reunited Septic Flesh but also Satyricon. The show would come to us at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square and that made sense for the choice as the loaded menu was a little too big for the likes of The Fillmore NY or even nearby B.B. King’s. The obviously sold out affair would provide an evening loaded with thrills and exciting Metal and should you have missed out on it somehow, here is how the night went down.
