AMC’s “The Walking Dead” will return tonight so check your listings as this is the second half of the tenth season. I ran a post last month with the trailer for this go round and if you didn’t see it just click HERE to be on point. I’ve also copied that background stuff and a bunch of the cast for your reference down below. This time around I removed some characters that are not with the program anymore but left some others in place since its good Google searching 🙂 As we’ve already pointed out, the series will end with its 11th so let’s see how are stalwart survivors contend with these new menaces.

The Premise: The Walking Dead takes place after the onset of a worldwide zombie apocalypse. The zombies, colloquially referred to as “walkers”, shamble towards living humans and other creatures to eat them; they are attracted to noise, such as gunshots, and to different scents, e.g. humans. Although it initially seems that only humans that are bitten or scratched by walkers can turn into other walkers, it is revealed early in the series that all living humans carry the pathogen responsible for the mutation. The mutation is activated after the death of the pathogen’s host, and the only way to permanently kill a walker is to damage its brain or destroy the body, such as by cremating it.

Tonight: “The Walking Dead” on AMC (10/4/2020)

Since I hit the nail on the proverbial head, I will repeat part of what I said in the Extended Opening post from a few weeks ago. As fans of the series “The Walking Dead” know, the final episode for the season was supposed to air this past April, but as you also know the world became a very different place in the beginning of March and many shows and films were put on hold for the duration. Tonight, we see the final outcome against The Whisperers and since I don’t have a Season 10 recap to share with you I will just leave the one from Season 9. It’s my hope that you were tuning in before the pandemic took over the news along with the politics as it was a brutally thrilling bunch of episodes.

Season 9 Recap: Eighteen months after Negan’s downfall, Rick proposes building a bridge to ease trading, but this leads to more resentment. Rick is seemingly killed when he destroys the bridge to prevent an invasion of walkers. Six years later, his absence triggers discourse between the communities, and a new walker-controlling threat named the Whisperers demand the survivors do not trespass their territory. Their leader, Alpha, has acquired a large horde of walkers that she will unleash if they do so. After her daughter Lydia abandons her mother’s group for the Kingdom’s, Alpha disowns her and massacres many residents during a fair.

As fans of the series “The Walking Dead” know, the final episode for the season was supposed to air this past April, but as you also know the world became a very different place in the beginning of March and many shows and films were put on hold for the duration. One of the things that was put in a holding pattern was this episode and it really left the fans “chomping” at the bit since the buildup was so incredible. AMC will deliver the goods in the coming weeks and now are giving us the first few minutes to get us all excited once again. Below you will also find a whole lot of the ensemble cast and some promotional artwork. Take a look.

I made sure to keep checking in over at the DC Comics pavilion since they often have buckets of cool buttons and stacks of free comic books to take away. Generally speaking since they know I am handing some of these things out to our more dedicated followers they let me take a few. One thing that was being offered was a special McFarlane print of Batman if you signed up for the DC Comics credit card. I didn’t need this of course but the young lady who had the poster had such an amazing smile that she gets a spotlight in this post.
