Warner Brothers Pictures Reveal “Justice League” Official Trailer

The other day, Warner Brothers Pictures delivered “5” little snippet trailers for the upcoming “Justice League” live-action film and it was all to lead us into today’s big reveal of the full on Official Trailer for the movie. The choice of date was interesting as today is the one year anniversary of the much maligned “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” film, and I offered up my thoughts about the feature on THIS LINK. Now please enjoy the Official Trailer, the casting and even the teaser poster and then I’ll return with some personal opinion on it.

The Synopsis: Months after the events of Batman v Superman and inspired by Superman’s sacrifice for humanity, Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince assemble a team of metahumans – The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg – to face the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and the Parademons who are on the hunt for three Mother Boxes on Earth.

Warner Brothers Pictures Says “Unite The League” w Five “Justice League” Teasers

Yesterday, the fine folks at Warner Brothers Pictures began releasing these snippet’s for the upcoming Fall live-action feature “Justice League”. The film continues the goings on that we got in “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” which I reviewed on THIS LINK. Since the clips are barely even a half a minute in length, I decided to wait until we had each one of them, so here is the Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg teaser “trailer”. “Unite The League”…..

DC Comics First Issues Coming In September 2016

Well, Summer is drawing to an end and school is going to start soon for many of our readers while the older set are just counting the days until the next holiday. The good side of this is that the brand new comic book launches are still heading our way and DC Comics is continuing strong with its “DC Universe: Rebirth” initiative. I’ve said this a couple of times already for sure but I am going to repeat that I am really enjoying it all. Yeah one or two titles are not winning me over but the strong points clearly are outweighing the weaker ones for me when it comes to this. Let’s get down to the cover art and provided press copy for the first issues that will be launching this month and then I’ll close out with some additional thoughts. Remember that each of the “Rebirth” issues comes with a variant cover and that numerous titles are running concurrently to these issues. Let’s get on with this shall we?

"Doom Patrol" #1
“Doom Patrol” #1

DOOM PATROL #1: The atoms are buzzing. The daydreams crowd sentient streets, and the creative team has been warned, “Turn back now or suffer the mighty consequence of sheer, psycho-maniacal mayhem.” Generation-arsonists unite—this is DOOM PATROL, and the God of the Super Heroes is bleeding on the floor.

A blenderized reimagining of the ultimate series of the strange, DOOM PATROL combines elements from classic runs, new directions, and things that could not be. Our entry point is Casey Brinke, a young EMT on the graveyard shift to abstract enlightenment, with a past so odd that she’s not entirely sure what is real and what is not. Along with her partner, Sam Reynolds, the pair blaze a path through the city and its denizens, finding the only quiet that exists at 3am is the chaos of the brain. When the pair answer a hit-and-run call, they find themselves face to face with a familiar figure: Cliff Steele, AKA Robotman.

“It gets weirder from here,” writer Gerard Way had to say about the book, with artist Nick Derington gripping tightly on the wheel of the ambulance. The pair’s only communication? Shouting out of the open windows while at high velocity. Who needs a new roommate? Who names a cat “Lotion”? And when do we get to see all those muscles?

Find your answers inside the pages of this comic book, as we set the stage for new beginnings, as well as the re-introduction of some classic DOOM PATROL characters, including Niles Caulder, Negative Man, Flex Mentallo, and Crazy Jane.

The debut title of DC’s Young Animal line kicks off with a removable sticker on its cover: Pull back the gyro to reveal its secrets, but be warned—there is no turning back.

"Batman Beyond: Rebirth" #1
“Batman Beyond: Rebirth” #1

BATMAN BEYOND: REBIRTH #1: Six months have passed since the events of BATMAN BEYOND #16. While areas of destruction remain in the outside world, Gotham City has made great strides toward reclaiming its bright future. But new threats arise and old adversaries may be coming back. And the question still remains: whatever happened to Bruce Wayne?

DC Comics #1’s Coming In July 2015

Well here we are in July of 2015 my friends and that means that the year is at its halfway point. It’s summertime for us New Yorkers and while the blazing heat has not really hit us yet for some reason, the comic book stuff that is coming out on both sides of the illustrated media fences is surely blazing. Let’s take a look at the DC Comics offerings with some cover art and basic premise that is provided by their press channels. I’m planning on keeping any titles first annual edition in this sort of narrative along with some first go round trade editions so I hope you like that. I’ll be back with thoughts of my own at the end. See you soon.

Now that “Convergence” has finished its run and that “The New 52” appears to be a thing of the past also, DC Comics has launched quite a bit of new titles that were discussed in THIS POST. One of the titles starting anew is “Justice League Of America” which gets a brand new first issue and seems to be focused on giving us non-stop action that features the team that we shall eventually see on the live action screen. I’m speaking of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Cyborg. With this momentous new issue out we’re getting seven massive action loaded variant covers by Bryan Hitch and Alex Sinclair. I’ve presented them all for you to enjoy below. Check it out.
