The Critics Choice Association (CCA) announced today the winners of the 2nd annual Critics Choice Super Awards, honoring the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both movies and television, including Superhero, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Horror, and Action.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” led the film winners this year, garnering three awards overall. The film was awarded Best Superhero Movie, while Andrew Garfield took the prize for Best Actor in a Superhero Movie, and Willem Dafoe won Best Villain in a Movie.

Presenting The 2nd Critics Choice Super Awards Nominations

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) announced today the nominees for the 2nd Annual Critics Choice Super Awards, honoring the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both television and movies, including Superhero, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Horror, and Action. Winners will be revealed on Thursday, March 17.

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” lead this year’s film nominations, with five nods apiece including Best Superhero Movie. Both Tony Leung and Simu Liu garnered Best Actor in a Superhero Movie nods for their performances in “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” while Michelle Yeoh is up for Best Actress in a Superhero Movie, and Tony Leung could also take home the award for Best Villain in a Movie. The cast of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” also earned top acting nods, with both Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield recognized with Best Actor in a Superhero Movie nominations. Additionally, Zendaya is up for Best Actress in a Superhero Movie, and Willem Dafoe could take home the trophy for Best Villain in a Movie.

Presenting The 1st Critics’ Choice Super Awards Winners

It was back in November that I first posted about the brand-new Critics Choice Super Awards on PiercingMetal and you might recall that I was excited about them since they were directly speaking to a number of my media interests. Yesterday, the winners were announced via a virtual ceremony because thanks to the pandemic that is the easiest way we can do stuff like this nowadays. Though we still have a ways to go, I feel that in due time more sense of normalcy will be experienced but for now you folks just chill at home and let entertainment outlets like this one offer up the things you need to know about. So I didn’t watch the virtual ceremony but am happy to share the winners circle with you all down below. Since its always beneficial to see what didn’t win when all was said and done, I have left the nominees in this narrative as well. We can discuss more about this at the close when I return. Presenting The 1st Critics’ Choice Super Awards Nominees

Those who are supporting both of my websites are already aware of my continual broadcasting of numerous award shows and their nominations reveals and the eventual winners. Of course the pandemic found a number of them either opting to go virtual to keep the event in place or sadly cancelling for another time when it was safer to hold an in-person event. Lucky for this side of the creative fence, a brand-new awards show was announced by the Critics Choice Association and its one that will lend its focus to all the kinds of television shows and films that our core demographic likes the most. I’m in that number as well with most of the movies I’ve been seeing over the last few years had colorful characters in armore or spandex. They call this new show the Critics Choice Super Awards and they’ve just revealed the nominees for their first-ever ceremony.
