The PiercingMetal website was once again in attendance at the awesome Anime NYC Convention that was being held at the Javits Center. While a score of photos and narrative will be posted on the website, one of the things we enjoy most about conventions is upping the content on our Official Instagram. The interested can start their journey with the image below. Please be sure to “Follow” and like as many photos as possible for good engagement.
I hope everyone who sees these photos enjoys them and thanks to all the cosplayers and vendors and artists who stopped for a moment so I could snap them. The first few are up and I am already contending with all the spammers who post comments like “DM us on @worthless_profile”. Fellow creatives should delete this without regard because they are only looking to get the attention that your photo would usually get you. Trust me on this.
For the twelfth straight year, PiercingMetal was attending the famed New York Comic Con as a member of the media and with that comes a whole lot of photos so I am going to once again use the site as a redirector to our Official Instagram. We love wandering the aisles and meeting the talented artists and cosplayers along with some cool exhibitors.
As engagement with the social media profiles is super important these days I’m just going to put it out there that any of the readers who are interested in keeping this whole shebang thriving to please come follow this account and like-bomb absolutely everything. Today, everyone we meet is some kind of photographer or “media figure”. Without your support this all fades away but I digress. You’re here to enjoy all the sights and scenes from the amazing New York Comic Con. I enjoyed myself and hope you will as well and oh yeah before you go. The spammers all seem to comment with hot garbage like “DM us on @random-profile” or “Collab with us on @random-profile” and while I delete these with impunity when I see them you should do the same on your own accounts because they only want to steal the little attention you are getting thanks to the new algorithm. See you next time.
I’ve already mentioned on a number of occasions that I love conventions and especially the ones aimed at my geek interests. Last month I let the New York Comic Con take over the Official PiercingMetal Instagram and I think I posted something like 600+ photos. Now it was time to do a bit of the same for another favorite of mine at the Anime NYC Convention. This convention also went virtual during 2020 and I didn’t get to participate at all based on my just not enjoying the virtual stuff at this point. As I did in October, this notice is to suggest you head over to said Official Instagram and enjoy all the sights and scenes. I really like this event and I am still a bit of a novice when it comes to Anime. Remember to click the “<3" on the images and leave comments for us to know you are out there.
Site visitors are encouraged to click the heart on the photo and come “Follow” the profile to enjoy all of our other images and adventures.

The Sunday part of NYCC is known as “Family Day” and that let’s attendees bring a child up to a certain age in for a discounted price. I think the age is 12 or 13 but don’t quote me since I don’t know offhand.
