The time has come and well, actually also gone but with that being said, the PiercingMetal High Command was recently in attendance for all four days of the 2024 edition of the famed New York Comic Con. This year marked my fourteenth annual attendance in a professional capacity and as a diehard comic book and assorted geek culture things fan I knew that I would be put to task. I tend to cover the event solo and that means there was going to be a lot of exploring in the Javits Center. The space has been expanded over the recent years which means even more halls and aisles to get ourselves to. The purpose of this post is to make our readers aware that the Official Instagram for the website would once again be overtaken by the New York Comic Con in terms of the regular feed posts and the Reels. The full editorial narratives are being compiled as you read this with some of them already online along with any post convention announcements and alerts from the myriad of comic book industry companies that were in attendance. Not only will those posts be on PiercingMetal but they are also all resident on our self-proclaimed executive editorial branch of Ken Pierce Media. The plan and practices was the same as in previous attendances with content being shared on the site and also YouTube clips, these Instagram images and TikToks. The like-minded geeks can keep pace with the website editorial pieces by clicking HERE and the first of our Instagram images is linked below. Most of them will be exclusive to our Instagram with the occasional making an appearance in our four-day coverage of the convention.
It was just this past weekend that the PiercingMetal High Command was once again in attendance at the now expanded Anime NYC convention at the Javits Center. This is their eighth convention and I’ve been attending since the very beginning. While we are posting this notice a few days post convention, I have been uploading the photos taken with the mobile to our Official Instagram since Friday and I have miles to go based on how many I see when I scroll the gallery on my device. This year I decided to focus more on the cosplayers and some of the artists that I spoke to and yes there are even a few reels to enjoy when you visit the profile that is linked via the image down below. To see all of the coverage posts and features you can click HERE as that will open up a new browser tag with the content that’s been dedicated to the 2024 convention. I will say that at the time of this writing I haven’t begun working on the longer posts and that those are coming soon. Now without any further adieu, here begins the Anime NYC 2024 Instagram Takeover. I hope you enjoy and engage with the content and even tell some friends because we’re here to entertain everyone.
As the organizers of Anime NYC scheduled the 2024 edition of their mangatastic event to August from its long-standing November happening, I felt I should do the same kind of Photo Gallery Recap Videos that I often do for the New York Comic Con. My rationale behind doing this some months before it happens and not very close to the event is based on my wanting you to be able to try and get yourself tickets before such a thing is just impossible to do. Much like the New York Comic Con, the Anime NYC convention sells out well in advance. This year is not only going to be months earlier but its also supposed to be using much more of the Javits Center so that should mean a lot more tickets to dole out. Having attended all three days, each of the recaps has been embedded down below for you to be able to enjoy them in one place. It also ups the amount of website content since sometimes finding videos on YouTube is a chore. Please enjoy this flashback to New York Comic Con 2023 at the Javits Center. Oh yeah before I forget if you’d like to see the other coverage pieces that were posted from Anime NYC 2023 just click HERE to launch a new tab in your browser.
We are just shy of six months away from the 2024 edition of the massive media event known as the New York Comic Con and what I generally like to do around this time is revisit the coverage that was done at the previous years convention. While it might be easier to do a simple WordPress post that directs you back to said coverage, I instead have been enjoying creating video photo galleries of each of the days that we attended and also the special features that ran. Those interested in reading the full coverage on the website are most welcome to do so because if anything, it gets you deeper into the mix that a running gallery might. As expected these videos live on our Official PiercingMetal YouTube Channel and have been embedded here into the post for your easiest perusal. I think that I ran about 35 posts or so on the site from the 2023 edition of the famed convention. Please be aware that at the time of my posting this notice there is no music accompanying the videos. One cannot safely put other peoples music on the videos and the images flow by too quickly for me to talk over them. I might add some of their canned music but not right now. Please enjoy this flashback to New York Comic Con 2023 at the Javits Center.
It was back in late November last year that the PiercingMetal High Command was once again in attendance at the rapidly expanding Anime NYC convention at the Javits Center. I’ve been going to this event since its debut in 2017 and the 2023 event would mark my sixth annual attendance as a part of the Geek Media. Generally speaking, I begin running the Instagram images straight away but the website and life got super busy around that time and it prevented me from serving up all of the awesome cosplayers and the other sights that I encountered along the way. I was timely with the Reels and other short form videos because those needed to go live as they happened and any of the day to day convention and promotional posts can be found by clicking HERE as that will open up a new browser tag with the content that’s been dedicated to the 2023 convention. Now without any further adieu, here begins the Instagram Takeover by Anime NYC 2023. I am pretty sure that you will like what you see because I have a couple of hundred images to bring to your attention.
