When we last discussed the upcoming “Candyman” film here on the website, the world was a very different place since that was in the ending days of February 2020. That post can be found HERE if you’d like to be thorough and now as the world slowly tries to be normal again after so much chaos, a new trailer has arrived. I’ve secured that along with a better premise and casting and art. Enjoy and I will return once all is done.
The Premise: For as long as the residents can remember, the housing projects of Chicago’s Cabrini Green neighborhood were terrorized by a word-of-mouth ghost story about a supernatural killer with a hook for a hand, easily summoned by those daring to repeat his name five times into a mirror. In the present day, a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down, a visual artist named Anthony McCoy and his girlfriend, an art gallery director named Brianna Cartwright, moved into a luxurious loft condo in Cabrini, now gentrified beyond recognition and inhabited by the upwardly mobile millennials. With Anthony’s painting career on the brink of stalling, a chance encounter with a Cabrini Green old-timer exposes Anthony to the tragically horrific nature of the true story behind the Candyman. Anxious to maintain his status in the Chicago art world, Anthony begins to explore these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, unknowingly opening a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes a terrifyingly viral wave of violence that puts him on a collision course with destiny. We’ve talked about the AMC Studios original series “Fear The Walking Dead” quite a few times and as you know this is of course a spinoff of the mega-popular “The Walking Dead” series. The show begins its 6th season tonight and our previous posts included “A Look Inside” the season (discussed HERE) and a “opening segment” clip (shown HERE). Check your local listings or your providers app on your mobile so you can tune in or record it and as a reminder here is the poster, the premise and much of the casting.
Hey Fiends, I am back with a little bit more about the upcoming season of “Fear The Walking Dead” which will air in the coming days. As you might already know, the final episode of the most recent season of ”The Walking Dead” aired just a couple of days ago and it was followed by second spinoff “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” and I’ve been so hectic with workaday things that I need to sit down and absorb them before any spoilers ruin it for me. My previous post was “A Look Inside” the Season so click HERE for that and then enjoy the opening minutes of the upcoming season.
Hey there my zombie apocalypse loving fiends, it’s once again time to discuss that spinoff from “The Walking Dead” as the AMC Original series “Fear The Walking Dead” will return for a 6th Season in the coming weeks. I’ve watched this one since the beginning and while I didn’t like it initially I ended up binging what my DVR had recorded and became a fan. Instead of an Official Trailer, we get this Inside Look into the coming season. Take a look and I will return with some editorial down below at the close.
The Premise: The season follows Morgan Jones who has been left for dead by Virginia, while the remaining members of Morgan’s group have been separated by Virginia and her Pioneers and are dispersed across her various settlements. The season will also feature multiple time jumps. Continue reading AMC’s “Fear The Walking Dead”: A Look At Season 6→
We all know that sequels to popular films are all the rage and sometimes they become endless and sometimes even a little silly at points. To my knowledge there are about 25 “Friday The 13th” films and at least double that for “A Nightmare On Elm Street” and of course I am being very fascicious here. The endless sequelling has given birth to a new trend that bypasses a number of films and instead gives us a many years later direct sequel to an orginal film. We saw this with “Halloween” and most recently “Terminator: Dark Fate”. Now it continues into the “Candyman” franchise that will continue where the 1992 film left off. Check it out.
