Greetings once more my friends, it’s time to get another chapter in the continuing presentations from the 2019 New York Comic Con. The actual event ended about two days ago but those who know how we load up the massive amounts of visuals are aware that these come at the readership for about a week longer than that. Sometimes its even more depending on how busy my camera trigger finger was. As I’ve stated before, those just joing in should click HERE to see all of the posts that have gone online before this one. I am a continuity fan for sure and think that following along in order is a better experience. I’ll start this chapter off with the select visuals of the newer stuff coming from the Good Smile Company. We make sure to visit them at every Toy Fair and think the product is awesome. Take a look.

Coheed and Cambria Announce Co-Headlining Tour w Taking Back Sunday

I returned from the American International Toy Fair to a deluge of email that related to both the music and geek-minded interests and now that the exploration is over its time to get back to business. Here is the latest skinny on Coheed and Cambria who will be heading out on a co-headlining tour.

The Press Release:
Celebrated American rock bands Coheed and Cambria and Taking Back Sunday today announced their upcoming summer co-headlining amphitheater tour. The 28-city U.S. outing, produced by Live Nation, will begin on Friday, July 6 in Miami, FL and make stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Chicago, Cleveland, Austin, Denver, Las Vegas, and more. The summer journey will culminate at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ on Sunday, August 12. Northern California act The Story So Far will be the opener on all dates.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public beginning this Friday, February 23 at 10am local time at LiveNation.com. Artist pre-sales start tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21 at 10 a.m. local time and will end at 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 22. A full listing of dates can be found below along with additional information on both TakingBackSunday.com and CoheedAndCambria.com.

It’s been over two years since Coheed and Cambria’s 2015 album, The Color Before the Sun, was released as the band’s first “non-concept” album over the span of their 15-year career. The album left the sci-fi universe of “The Amory Wars” and instead focused on frontman Claudio Sanchez’s personal life, including the birth of his first child. With 2018 upon us, and a major summer tour now announced, the volume of fans’ chatter for a new album and whether or not it will return to the band’s fictional concept arc will surely reach new heights.

Coheed and Cambria is a rare band whose music is able to transcend “scenes” and effortlessly cross genres of rock – from indie to progressive, to metal and pop-punk to classic rock. The band is frequently compared to progressive, operatic rock bands of the ‘70s, ala Queen, Supertramp or Rush due to their thrilling concept albums that take you on a grand journey of sounds and often clock-in around 10 mins, but still somehow include sugary pop-laden hooks.

Exploring New York Comic Con 2017: Day One (Part 4)

Greetings Mes Amis, it’s nice to see you here once more as I present to you in living color, another chapter from my coverage of the 2017 NY Comic Con. I’m getting down to the wire on the Day One stuff and this is Part 4 from that first day. I should stress that the actual NYCC ended yesterday but since I only post about 50 images in each narrative for ease of your eyes, you will be seeing these posts until I get to the point of there aren’t any more. lf you’ve missed any of the posts that preceded this one, just click on THIS LINK as it will open a battery of content for you. Coheed and Cambria To Play “NEVERENDER GAIBSIV” On Tour This Spring

It’s always great to share the news about an upcoming tour by Coheed and Cambria as their material is so solid in the live sense and the bands founder is a major player in the comic book world which is something that keeps our attention on the high side. Check out the news that was broadcast only a short time ago about the bands next live effort.

The Press Release:
The multi-dimensional, progressive-rock band, Coheed and Cambria announced today that they will be touring the US this spring, performing their landmark third album, “Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness”, in its entirety. The tour, entitled NEVERENDER GAIBSIV, will take the band across North America commencing on April 11, and ending May 20, and including stops at the Hollywood Palladium; Aragon Theater in Chicago; and the Blues Hill Bank Pavilion in Boston. Support on all non-festival dates will be from The Dear Hunter. Full list of dates are listed below.

Good Apollo, The epic 72-minute recording considered by most as the bands most progressive album, and including two of the band’s most known singles (Welcome Home and The Suffering) and selling over a million records worldwide. The band’s legion of fans grows every year, and the NEVERENDER concept now holds a special place within the culture of the Coheed community. NEVERENDER is the moniker given to these album performances by the band and it first started in 2008, when Coheed performed their first 4 albums over 4 nights – completing the feat in 4 different cities – New York, London, Chicago and Los Angeles. The band’s concept albums lend themselves particularly well to the live setting.
