Fleetwood Mac Announces The Passing of Christine McVie (1943-2022)

The band Fleetwood Mac has announced the passing of their keyboardist/vocalist Christine McVie. I have added the official statement down below.

“The are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie. She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her. Individually and together, we cherished Christine deeply and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. She will be so very missed”. Fleetwood Mac

I’ve embedded to of the most prominent Christine McVie led Fleetwood Mac tunes. These numbers had such radio play when they were released.

We extend the deepest of condolences to Christine’s family and band mates and worldwide legions of fans. Thanks for the music Ms. McVie, may you Rest In Peace.

The tour announcements keep on coming and here is the one regarding the lengthy plans by the legendary Fleetwood Mac. Check out the full press release and gamut of dates. I’ll close out with some additional thoughts.

The Press Release:
Legendary, GRAMMY-award winning band Fleetwood Mac announced today a North American tour, set to kick off in 10/and travel through 50+ cities ending in Spring of 2019. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature the newly announced line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie along with newcomers Mike Campbell and Neil Finn.

Tickets for the tour will go on-sale to the general public starting on Friday, May 4 at 10am local time. A complete Fleetwood Mac itinerary listing all tour dates follows this release. For further information, please visit www.fleetwoodmac.com (linked at the close).
