Though it’s already been a month since I shared the trailer for Marvel’s “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Final Season, it feels like it was only yesterday. Hopefully you’ve seen that clip but if not just click HERE to rectify the error. The final season begins tonight so check your local listings and get that DVR programmed or VCR if you are still rocking it old school. Considering that most of NYC is still on lockdown, I will be home to watch but will be using the time to keep programming other posts and will likely watch over coffee in the AM. As I’ve been close to a lifelong fan of the Marvel Comics output on the racks, it was pretty much assumed that I would also be a fan of the television programs that bring many of the characters to life. “Agents Of SHIELD” has had an exciting few seasons and for those fans who gave up on the show early, I can say that you really missed out on some fun stuff. The series returns in May with its 7th and Final Season and here is the first full trailer of what is to be expected.

It’s been a little bit of time since the fifth season of Marvel’s “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” ended but I am glad to have a sneak peek look into what is to come for the fans and of course myself. When it got good it was really good and just what fans of the bigger screen universe needed. The series will return in May which is after both “Captain Marvel” and “Avengers: Endgame” have been released so I wonder if we shall get any inferences about those films. Let’s watch the clip.

Marvel To Launch New Animation Franchise “Marvel Rising” In 2018

If you’ve been paying attention to the full presentation of PiercingMetal over the last year or so, you very likely know just how much we are posting about the Comics scene and the upcoming related big and small screen features. If you had not realized this, well, there are quite a few of these kinds of posts and there are more to come. That makes this news all the more fantastic to share about the upcoming idea “Marvel Rising”. Check out the submitted artwork and the full press release.

The Press Release:
(Glendale, CA) December 7, 2017 – Marvel Entertainment announced today, “Marvel Rising,” a brand-new, multi-platform animation franchise starring the next generation of Marvel heroes set to launch in 2018. The program will launch with six, four-minute digital shorts that spotlight Spider-Gwen with her new secret moniker, Ghost-Spider, and introduce audiences to the world of “Marvel Rising.” Following the shorts, a feature-length animated film, “Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors” will premiere later that year. Distribution partners for the content to be announced at a later date.

The content features an all-star line-up of voice talent including Dove Cameron, Chloe Bennet, Tyler Posey, BooBoo Stewart, Kathreen Khavari, Milana Vayntrub, Cierra Ramirez, Kamil McFadden, Skai Jackson, Kim Raver, Ming-Na Wen, Steven Weber, and Dee Bradley Baker among others. Future stories and content are also being developed across Marvel’s digital and publishing platforms and will be announced at a later date.

“Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors” is a long-anticipated event, bringing together Marvel’s newest and beloved characters that have garnered major fan excitement over the last few years. Powered teens Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Quake, Patriot, America Chavez, and Inferno join forces as an unlikely, but formidable crew of aspiring heroes. When a threat no one could have expected bears down on the Marvel Universe, this ragtag, untrained band of teens have no choice but to rise together and prove to the world that sometimes the difference between a “hero” and “misfit” is just in the name.

“Marvel characters are so relatable because they live in our world and face the same challenges we do. So I’m very excited that our Marvel Rising team of heroes is so inclusive, reflecting characters with different backgrounds, particularly a set of strong female leads that our young audience can connect with,” said Cort Lane, Marvel’s Senior Vice President of Animation & Family Entertainment.
