On September 8, 1966, Star Trek graced television screens for the first time with “The Man Trap,” the pilot episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. On that day, Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry introduced audiences to a world that championed diversity, inclusion, acceptance and hope. Fifty-five years later, Paramount+ will honor this important day and the franchise’s enduring legacy, with the service’s second annual Star Trek Day celebration, providing fans with a memorable way to enjoy and celebrate all things Star Trek.

Paramount+ Presents: “Star Trek: Picard” S2 Teaser Clip

CBS All Access is gone and in its place stands Paramount+ which essentially has expanded upon the original idea and gives the fans of properties like “Star Trek” a single place to enjoy every single show ever produced and beyond. Last year, we got the debut of “Star Trek: Picard” and I’ve gotta say that it was pretty cool. Today, this new network is celebrating what they are calling “First Contact Day” as its the 25th Anniversary of the film “Star Trek: First Contact” and as a part of the whole lotta Trekkie love we are getting a teaser clip for Season Two of “Star Trek: Picard”. Take a look down below.

The S1 Premise: The series is set 20 years after Jean-Luc Picard’s last appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), and finds the character deeply affected by the destruction of Romulus as depicted in the film Star Trek.

Now Streaming: “Star Trek: Discovery” on CBS All Access (10/15/2020)

Despite the continuing restrictions and issues surrounding the Coronavirus Pandemic, we’ve been able to keep serving up some entertainment thanks to all of the shows that are returning to either your streaming service of choice or video on demand. Starting today, the third season of “Star Trek: Discovery” will begin episodically showing new chapters which means you cannot binge this one. Well, you can if you wait until its all finished but not otherwise. I’ve discussed the new season before with the Official Trailer and the Opening Scene which you can enjoy by clicking the highlighted text. Now if you subscribe you can enjoy the poster, premise of the season and the casting. I’ll close out with some editorial as well.

In the second season, after the war has ended, Discovery investigates seven mysterious signals and a strange figure known as the “Red Angel”. This conflict ends with the Discovery travelling to the 32nd century, more than 900 years into their future.
