It’s time to get excited about the superhero film stuff once again because Phase 3 of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe begins here with the opening of “Captain America: Civil War”. After the massive amount of mixed opinion that DC’s Extended Universe found with “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” I can honestly say that I am so looking forward to this live-action adventure. Check out the official poster and the premise along with the main cast and then I will return with some thoughts.
One year after the events of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, another international incident involving the Avengers resulting in collateral damage occurs, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the team. When Steve Rogers attempts to protect his friend Bucky Barnes from this act, he is brought into conflict with Tony Stark. This results in the fracturing of the Avengers into two opposing factions—one led by Rogers, who wishes to operate without regulation, and the other by Stark, who supports government oversight—while the world is threatened by a new enemy. Hey there my friends, I just wanted to take a moment and share with you the recently released covers for the Summer Previews edition of “Entertainment Weekly” because it showcases the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” film. With this showcase we get four different covers and two of them are Team Cap while the other ones are Team Iron Man. From them you get a good idea of whose side each hero is on and of course we will have more characters in the film to root for. Check them out below.
The excitement about “Deadpool” is finally showing some signs of slowing down and the buzz is building to a serious momemtum about the very soon to open “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” film but coming up quick on the energy burst meters is the just released second trailer for Marvel’s next offering in the May opening film “Captain America: Civil War”. Check out the second trailer below and then we can chat a little bit.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: SCREAMS!!!!!!! That’s all I have for this. So great to have the Web-Spinner in the proper Marvel Cinematic Universe at long last. I know you are excited as well, especially after that last Spider-Man film that Sony gave us. Let’s cross our fingers for the most positive of growth of this now very encompassing Marvel Universe. Full steam ahead. May cannot get here soon enough for me.
A couple of days ago the latest cover of Entertainment Weekly was making the rounds and showcasing the principle characters of the upcoming film “Captain America: Civil War”. In addition to the two stalwart Marvel heroes we get a proper look at a long anticipated character as well and I’ve snagged an image of said cover for your visual enjoyment. Check it out.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: The folks who love to scream about absolutely everything are already balking about a few things and the first is how Black Panther is behind both Cap and Iron Man as opposed to standing right in the middle of them and I’ve had to chastise some for making a mountain out of a molehill in this. First of all he looks fantastic and I am glad to see Black Panther being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in what I believe will be one of the most exciting films in the whole Marvel Studios battery of films. Others are annoyed that it references Panther as having claws so sharp that even the Real Housewives would be envious but lets remember who mostly reads this kind of magazine. The people that read about and care for whatever the Kardashians are keeping up to and the Real Housewives of God only knows where are its main demographic. Believe me I am happy that the nerd pursuits are attended to for our own readers and myself but outside of that I am okay with the inane reference. That being said the “meow” was just stupid but I will leave it alone. Black Panther will be an active part of the new Captain America film and be the main man in a film of his own come 2018 unless I am mistaken, As expected the magazine features a larger article but I only have the cover to share with you and suggest you pick up a copy on the stands while you can. What do you think of the visual and seeing Black Panther a little better? Let me know in the comments and if you have already read the full feature please let us know if its worth picking up as opposed to just reading online somewhere.
You might have been binge watching “Jessica Jones” when this new trailer was aired during the Jimmy Kimmel show last night or been catching up with an almost full DVR thanks to a heavy concert attending itinerary like I was but thanks to some super late night Internet perusing I learned that the first trailer for the 2016 film “Captain America: Civil War” was here and uhm here it is for you to see just in case.
The Premise: After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, another international incident involving Captain America and the Avengers results in collateral damage, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the Avengers, which results in the fracturing of the team while they attempt to protect the world from a new enemy. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve left the casting out of this quick post but it does star Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Mackie with Sebastian Stan along with just about every other hero we have seen in the recent earthbound films along with some brand new ones and that is going to make for one exciting film. We get a hot glimpse of Black Panther in the clip but no Spider-Man who is listed as being a part of the action and is now a part of this shared universe at long last. Thus begins the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 series of films and this one can take my money right now. I am just loving what Marvel Studios has been doing and while we have to wait until May 2016 to see this one I think we can handle the wait. Some of us might not even have been able to see the new Star Wars film that opens up in a couple of weeks based on its overall demand and then there is that “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” film to check out to see how DC Comics brings their own biggies all together. So what do you readers think about this trailer? Are you on board? Let’s discuss in the comments.
