It’s time to get excited about the superhero film stuff once again because Phase 3 of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe begins here with the opening of “Captain America: Civil War”. After the massive amount of mixed opinion that DC’s Extended Universe found with “Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice” I can honestly say that I am so looking forward to this live-action adventure. Check out the official poster and the premise along with the main cast and then I will return with some thoughts.

The Premise:
One year after the events of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, another international incident involving the Avengers resulting in collateral damage occurs, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the team. When Steve Rogers attempts to protect his friend Bucky Barnes from this act, he is brought into conflict with Tony Stark. This results in the fracturing of the Avengers into two opposing factions—one led by Rogers, who wishes to operate without regulation, and the other by Stark, who supports government oversight—while the world is threatened by a new enemy. I know you are excited as well, especially after that last Spider-Man film that Sony gave us. Let’s cross our fingers for the most positive of growth of this now very encompassing Marvel Universe. Full steam ahead. May cannot get here soon enough for me.

The third exciting Captain America film opens today in theaters everywhere in addition to the one where I generally catch these film in NYC. It’s going to change the status quo of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for sure. Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. star in their established roles of Captain America and Iron Man.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: The folks who love to scream about absolutely everything are already balking about a few things and the first is how Black Panther is behind both Cap and Iron Man as opposed to standing right in the middle of them and I’ve had to chastise some for making a mountain out of a molehill in this. First of all he looks fantastic and I am glad to see Black Panther being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in what I believe will be one of the most exciting films in the whole Marvel Studios battery of films. Others are annoyed that it references Panther as having claws so sharp that even the Real Housewives would be envious but lets remember who mostly reads this kind of magazine. The people that read about and care for whatever the Kardashians are keeping up to and the Real Housewives of God only knows where are its main demographic. Believe me I am happy that the nerd pursuits are attended to for our own readers and myself but outside of that I am okay with the inane reference. That being said the “meow” was just stupid but I will leave it alone. Black Panther will be an active part of the new Captain America film and be the main man in a film of his own come 2018 unless I am mistaken, As expected the magazine features a larger article but I only have the cover to share with you and suggest you pick up a copy on the stands while you can. What do you think of the visual and seeing Black Panther a little better? Let me know in the comments and if you have already read the full feature please let us know if its worth picking up as opposed to just reading online somewhere.
