20th Century Fox Presents: “Deadpool 2” The Trailer

It’s been a few weeks since we got the “Deadpool 2” trailer that introduced us to Cable so I was happy to find this brand new one being dished out this morning. Let’s keep the banter to a minimum and just get on down with it. Here you go.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Remember that the film is NOT about what it says above as we’ve already stated. In examining the new trailer it looks to be a lot of the same that we got in the first film and I am okay with that since they appear to be sticking to character and premise while at the same time expanding the X-Men universe on film. Speaking frankly, I don’t have much else to say on this at the moment but you folks can chime in down below and let me know what you think. I can always comment back to you 🙂

Marvel Unveils “The New Mutants” Variant Covers For March

Though the news about these latest variant covers came up in January, I’ve decided to wait until they were closer to hitting the racks so those interested could request their comic book dealer to save or order them the necessary copies. These covers will offer up “The New Mutants” who will be the stars of their own 20th Century Fox film soon. Let’s take a look at the ones that were shared with the press. If any others arrive I will edit them into this same piece.

The Press Release:
This March, a paranormal mystery will be unleashed in the Marvel Universe…and only the members of the NEW MUTANTS can stop it! In celebration of this six-issue limited series from writer Matt Rosenberg and artist Adam Gorham, Marvel is excited to announce the NEW MUTANT VARIANT COVER PROGRAM, featuring dark portraits of your favorite Marvel heroes from acclaimed artists such as Dan Mora, Declan Shalvey, Mike Deodato and more. Look for Marvel’s New Mutant variant covers on these select titles:

20th Century Fox’s “Deadpool 2” – “Deadpool Meets Cable” Trailer

I was a tad surprised that we didn’t see any sort of “Deadpool 2” trailer during the recent Super Bowl but I’m happier than the proverbial clam as one has recently been unveiled and is being presented for you below. Check it out and meet “CABLE”…..

Per The YouTube Video Page: After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Now that we know the film is NOT about what it says above already we can continue. It’s great to see Cable in action and you diehards might remember that he and Deadpool “first met” on the printed pages of “X-Force” so many years ago. He’s a tad more serious than our red suit wearing numbnuts and that is where the relationship is a whole world of fun. Since the first trailer that they shared came available, a lot has happened in the media world. First of all, shame on you for missing the first clip (recapture your honor by clicking HERE). Then the biggest news of all was that Disney purchased 20th Century Fox studios (we spoke about that HERE) and this means the possibilities will soon enough be endless as a barrage of characters are once again available to use in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Okay I’m drooling, so moving on. Considering the way that the trailers for the first “Deadpool” film flowed, I am sure that we are going to get a few more and will assume that a “Meet Domino” one will be forthcoming. What did you readers think about this one? Let me know down in the comments below. Until we meet again.
