Bush Announces Headlining Spring Tour w Chevelle
The tour announcements are going to pick up steam for sure and that is going to find me keeping any additional thoughts on the brief more often than I might like. This one came earlier in the day on Tuesday and discloses the inside scoop on the Spring tour by Bush with Chevelle. Check out the press release below along with the dates.
The Press Release:
Los Angeles, CA (April 26, 2016) – Multi-platinum rock band BUSH have announced a tour of North America set to kick off this summer on July 21 at Walker, Minnesota’s Moondance Jam festival. The tour includes co-headlining dates with Chevelle, as well as special BUSH VIP packages being offered via On The List Presents. Tickets for the latter go on sale Friday, April 29th at 10am local. More information can be found by clicking HERE.
The tour follows a trio of shows held earlier this week in Florida and is the band’s first run of 2016 following last year’s road show in support of Man on the Run, which began with a performance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas as part of a lineup that included System of a Down, Linkin Park and Rise Against. The band (lead vocalist Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz and drummer Robin Goodridge) also teamed with Shazam, Vevo and VH1 for the video launch of “The Only Way Out,” a song that the group premiered on “The Howard Stern Show.” USA Today had the song’s online premiere, Billboard debuted the album’s title track and Elle premiered “Loneliness Is A Killer.” Those songs all appeared on Man on the Run, which the band recorded with Grammy winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Mastodon, Deftones, Foo Fighters). BUSH also teamed with Pandora for a special promotion that saw them give a special acoustic performance for fans who gave them “a thumbs up,” they performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and frontman Gavin Rossdale guest-starred on the 100th episode of “Hawaii 5-0.”

Title: “Transformers: Roll Out”
Label: Sony Music
Release Date: 4/29/2016
Genre: Alternative
Rating: 2.5/5
Now this might be interesting for all of you Rock loving fans of the “robots in disguise” the one and only Transformers who now have an album of all original tunes done by what I am reading are some up and coming names in the Alternative Rock scene. There’s even a tune by Alt-Rock superpowers Bush thrown in for good measure but I had to admit that they were the only band that I recognized across the whole release. While I like the idea of these kinds of releases, I often find myself on the fence about whether or not to purchase it based on there being too many “new” bands on the album versus a healthy amount of things that I am aware of. Sure bands like Mount Holly, Mew and Ella Rae did some fine stuff here but with the prices of everything rising these days, unless you are already a fan of these musicians you might take a pass on the overall album which is kind of unfair since there is some good stuff here.
