If you are a fan of giant monsters fighting robots then you will be excited for the sequel to “Pacific Rim” with Legendary Pictures “Pacific Rim: Uprising”. This film opens today in theaters across the country and we wanted to remind you of it. Let’s go over the premise and casting after the super cool poster below.

The Premise: It has been ten years since the Battle of the Breach and the oceans are still, but restless. Vindicated by the victory at the Breach, the Jaeger program has evolved into the most powerful global defense force in human history. The PPDC now calls upon the best and brightest to rise up and become the next generation of heroes when the Kaiju threat returns. Thrust into this is ex-Jaeger pilot Jake Pentecost, son of the late Stacker Pentecost, who is given a chance by his adopted sister, Mako Mori, to unite with the world and fellow Jaeger pilots to prevent humanity’s extinction. Now Playing: “The Dark Knight Rises” (7/20/2012)

The big day is finally here for the fans of the Batman franchise as “The Dark Knight Rises” opens up in theaters everywhere. The film continues and apparently completes the saga that Chris Nolan began with “Batman Begins” and continued with “The Dark Knight” and I have to admit that I never realized this was going to be a trilogy. Nolan’s Batman was grittier than any we had seen before, and even more so than the one from the 1989 film where he was played by Michael Keaton. In any event I am excited for this movie.
