“Avast ye lubbers, tis time to set your sights on sailing ships carrying gold, so down yer rum and be off to the high seas with yer Cap’n”. Yes my friends, Captain Jack Sparrow returns in his latest adventure as “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” opens today. PiercingMetal Thoughts: Now I did promise a little more personal insight once the full trailer was released and here we go. I liked this one a lot since it shows some of the backstory that drives this chapter in the POTC franchise. We also see a young Jack which should make some interesting moments as well. There seem to be some truly unique characters in this one and did you see the undead shark? Whew. So what did you readers think of the trailer? Has this firmed up your interest in the film. Let me know what you think down in the comments below.

When I saw the teaser trailer for the 5th and I believe final chapter in the “Pirates of The Caribbean” franchise I knew I wanted to lend some time to this one as well. I loved all of the preceding films and found them to be good ole adventures fun so here is the teaser trailer for “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”.

I don’t generally do any broadcasts about films of the Disney nature but the evil queen from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” fairytale is getting her own origin film and a live action one as well and that is a special occasion. Ladies and gentlemen, “Maleficent” opens today in theaters near you. Check out the poster.
Truth be told the visage of Maleficent always frightened me as a child and that was the effect that the folks at Disney wanted. She was mean, she had nothing good in her plans and it showcased well in the classic animated feature “Sleeping Beauty” which came out way back in 1959. I’ve copied the film’s basic premise below and thank its Wikipedia entry for the details. Continue reading Opening Today: Disney’s “Maleficent” (5/30/2014)→
