Welcome back to the continued presentation of the findings from Book Expo America 2014. With this second chapter I’m continuing along with the photos from the first day that I attended and also adding the ones from the second day. I figured it better like this since I was not going to be able to attend on the third and final day. With that in mind let’s get this show on the road and check out the super cool Marvel Super-Heroes poster. I had half a mind to grab one of these to hang up in the Metal Command HQ but I decided not to. Great Jack Kirby art though don’t you think?

Here’s a book about “One Hundred Cats and a Fish”. Obviously geared towards the younger readers so parents make some notes about things you see in these pair of narratives as you might have some shopping to do after I am finished.

Hey there readers, the other day I hit the 2014 edition of Book Expo America which is another convention that I have been attending for a few years and showcasing with you here on the PiercingMetal site. It’s quite different from the NY Comic Con event, but I like to drop in and see what might be coming our way in the realms of music related and comic book super-hero type books. I’m quite the avid reader with interests in a wide variety of entertainment properties so its always fun to wander this event meeting the folks that are putting out items that fall into our readership wheelhouse. Let’s get started with the banner that greets educators and press as they walk into the Javits Center.

Also hanging above our heads was a great banner showcasing the “Family History Of The Simpsons”. Since I have been a fan of that show since it began airing so many years ago I am going to try and get a glimpse of this book when I hit the Abrams Comic Arts section of the expo.

Just a quick reminded that the Book Expo America for 2014 is beginning today and will take over the Javits Center for 5/30 and 5/31 as well. It’s a great event to get some insight into what is happening with your favorite book companies and the chance to interact with hundreds of authors and even get some free stuff to boot.

I’ll be heading to the event very soon this morning and hope to see many of you there if at all possible. I’ve downloaded the handy app for my Droid phone and have updated it to the items that interest me. As you can imagine I am looking for many music related topics and tomes. For those who cannot attend you can count on some visual documentation about it right here on the PiercingMetal Blog when I get all my images and thoughts in order. Stay tuned.

I’ve embedded a few links to some Metal and Hard Rock books that I have recently enjoyed and think that you will too. Give them a once over, and know that they come with highest of recommendations.
