The time has come my friends and the long-awaited sequel to the Marvel Studio’s smash-hit “Black Panther” has arrived in theaters everywhere. The film is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and continues the saga after the death of King T’Challa. From the looks of it, the film will add a score of new characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I am okay with that. Let’s review the brief premise, casting and some art down below and if you’ve missed any of our other posts about the release just click HERE before continuing along.
Greetings Friends of the world of Marvel Studios, we are back once again to discuss the surely exciting film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that this is the sequel to the smash hit “Black Panther” but times are very different since that film and you can see some of that in the Official Teaser we posted about back in July (seen HERE). While I’ve some reservations based on my own creative process I will see how it all pans out. Let’s take a look at this Official Trailer.
For the past few hours, Marvel Entertainment was thrilling the attendees of the San Diego Comic-Con in the vaunted “Hall H” and there was a lot of talk about the upcoming shows and films. As the event drew to a close, they delivered the “Black Panther” sequel trailer, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”. Let’s take a look.
The Cast/Characters:
Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia
Danai Gurira as Okoye
Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross
Letitia Wright as Shuri
Winston Duke as M’Baku
Angela Bassett as Ramonda
Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart
Florence Kasumba as Ayo
Isaach de Bankolé, Dorothy Steel, and Danny as the Wakandan River Tribe, Merchant Tribe, and Border Tribe elders, respectively
Tenoch Huerta as an undisclosed antagonist
Michaela Coel in an undisclosed role
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Whew. This sure looks like its going to be a film that has a lot going on if I can judge from the teaser trailer along. I look forward to seeing Ironheart come into existence in the films as she is surely set for a Disney+ series of some kind going forward and as far as Tenoch’s undisclosed antagonist being the official listing from the Wiki this early, we all can see that he is portraying Namor the Sub-Mariner and that is a character that many have been dying to see be brought to screen. Now I know I am probably going to have haters in this view, but I am one of those who wanted the role of T’Challa recast when Chadwick sadly passed away. The overall character of him as Black Panther is so important in the comic books that it needed to be reflected on the screen. Please don’t hate me for saying that and now as I wrap it up I wonder what you think about it all. Please chime in down in the comments section and I will see you next time. Stay safe out there.
