It’s here, it’s FINALLY HERE!!!! Yes my comic book movie loving friends, “Avengers: Infinity War” opens today in theaters across the country and I am nothing less than shaking with the amount of psyched that I have in my system. As you longer termed readers know, we’ve been supporting this side of the media fence for a number of years now and are so glad to be rallying behind these kinds of films. Let’s take a look at the fantastic theatrical poster, some premise reminder and the massive cast.
The Premise: As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain. (thanks Wiki). Spring is here (despite it still being cold) and we are just about a month away from the release of “Avengers: Infinity War” and every time there is a reveal of some kind I find myself getting all “geek excited”. About a month ago we shared a whole bunch of Character Art Posters the Entertainment Weekly Magazine showcased “15” different character covers. When the time came for the Final Official Trailer around St. Patrick’s Day I thought that would be it – but I was wrong. Earlier, the studio released “5” more character posters that place a few heroes onto each one. Let’s have a look shall we? I’m starting with the Final Theatrical Poster and the films premise before it continues along.

I have to admit that I’ve been on a bit of a Marvel Studios high over the last few weeks after seeing “Black Panther”. It was so good and has made over $1.1 billion dollars at the global box office. Have you seen it yet? If you haven’t you are going to want to because it gives us a nice look at Wakanda which I am sure will play some part in the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War” film that opens on April 27th. Now all the vibe is going to that film and we’ve just received a second trailer for the film. Let’s start off the Friday properly, and watch…..

It’s time to return to a galaxy far, far away as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opens in theaters everywhere. How excited are you for this one? Pretty darned excited I’m willing to say. Let’s review the poster, some casting and a premise that I came up with on the fly 🙂
The Premise: The film continues along with the story that was begun in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and greater expands upon the Intergalactic conflict that was found taking place between the tyranny of The First Order and The Resistance.
The Cast/Characters:
Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker
Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa
Adam Driver as Kylo Ren
Daisy Ridley as Rey Jakku
John Boyega as Finn
Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron
Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata
Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux
Anthony Daniels as C-3PO
Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma
Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke
Benicio del Toro as an unnamed charter
Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo
Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Ticomber
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m pretty excited about this one despite not really finding “The Force Awakens” to be all that great. I enjoyed that one enough sure, but I didn’t love it like some of my fellow geeks did. My hope is that this film mirrors the historical practice of the second in the series being so good. Let’s face it, “Empire Strikes Back” was superb and maybe even better than the first “Star Wars” while “Attack Of The Clones” was far superior to “The Phantom Menace”. My issue is going to be like evading enemy TIE Fighters since so many of my close media discussion friends are all seeing the film on the night it opens or the next day and I cannot get there until next week. Hopefully I can skirt any information about it until next Wednesday which is the preferred day that I’d like to go. I might even need to turn off my personal Facebook for a couple of days to be on the safe side. What do you readers think about this opening? Is it the film you have been anticipating the most this year or was it one of the other ones like “Thor: Ragnarok”, “Wonder Woman”, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” or maybe even “Justice League”. Let me know in the comments section below and please NO SPOILERS if you have seen it. Those folks can just say they loved it or didn’t. Once I get to the theater, I will map out a movie review that will be as spoiler free as possible. May The Force Be With You my readers.
It’s pretty amusing to learn that there are at least “20” more MCU films coming according to Kevin Feige who disclosed this information in a very recent interview because not even a day later comes the trailer that we have been long anticipating with “Avengers: Infinity War”. I’ve secured the clip along with premise and the massive casting for you below so get on with the checking it out. Don’t worry, I’ll return with some editorial opinion at the close.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So there you have it my readers and without being super negative about the topic, THAT IS HOW YOU DO a massive superhero team film. Sure the recently opened “Justice League” film is calling the audience to attention with the catch phrase of “ALL IN” but I have to say that this trailer shows us what “All In” really looks like. I’m psyched and the summer cannot get here fast enough. In reviewing the trailer, I’d have to add that I don’t think we are going to see too many surprise new heroes introduced because there are more than thirty denoted above and unless this film is three hours long the screen time is going to be tight. Oh let’s admit it, this is probably a film that would work as a super extended one since its obviously loaded to the brim with action. It’s all been leading up to this one and what a ride its been so far. I anticipate this trailer shaking up the heads of state at Warner Brothers who no longer seem to be interested in a shared universe as per numerous disclosures in recent weeks. Time to wake up over there people but I digress. So let’s hear from you folks. What do you think about this trailer and how excited are you for the release in 2018 – Are you “All In”? (Sorry I couldn’t resist).
