Today is the day my friends as its time for us to go higher, further and faster with the mighty Captain Marvel who makes her grand debut as a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. The film is opening up today in theaters everywhere but first let’s revisit some of the posts that were done in support of the release. Last month, Marvel Comics unleashed a crop of one dollar comics, their “True Believers” line which all featured her and you might still be able to get most of them if you ask your local retailer about them. Make a checklist from the post found HERE. I also showcased some Promotional Posters and a Special Look Trailer so click those italicized words to see the posts. Below you will find the Official Theatrical Poster, premise and casting. I’ve spiced it up by adding some other posters as well before my closing thoughts.

The Premise: Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. We are just about a month away from meeting Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” face to screen as the galactic powerhouse joins the other mighty heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was only a month ago that the studio gave us a “Special Look” clip which was presented HERE in case you missed it. I’m excited about this one and I look forward to seeing all sorts of toys and accessories at the upcoming Toy Fair which this outlet is attending for its 9th straight year. I figured this was as good a time as any to showcase a number of the promotional posters that have been released for the film and I’ll start with the Official Theatrical one, the premise and the casting before you get to enjoy them all. Enjoy.

Marvel Studios: “Avengers: Endgame” & “Captain Marvel” Super Bowl LIII Spots

marvel studios logo

So another Super Bowl is on the books as completed and yes, the New England Patriots bested the Los Angeles Rams for Super Bowl LIII in a very low scoring (and super boring) game, winning 13-3. Truth be told I’m not a sports fan at all but I tuned in sporadically to see what trailers might manifest. Considering that we’ve already recently got updated trailers for “Godzilla: King Of The Monsters” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, I was not expecting more than a tease of some kind with newer footage that we might not have seen somewhere else. Across the course of the game, we would get what were listed as “Big Game Spots” for both “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain Marvel” and with the two clips barely surpassing a minute in length when played back to back, I’ve placed them both into a single post for your enjoyment. I’ve also added the premise for one and listed the cast in our tags as opposed to a rundown since there were too many people to type at this late hour.

The Premise: Nothing has been posted yet about what the premise for “Avengers: Endgame” actually is but its pretty safe to say that our heroes are going to be looking for ways to reverse “the snap” and give Thanos a taste of his own medicine.
