Today is “International Women’s Day” and since I saw numerous posts focusing on some sensational female Metal and Rock singers I decided to do something similar here on the PiercingMetal website. Since our debut as an online magazine, I’ve witnessed some true powerhouses rule the stages of New York City and sometimes beyond. After digitally leafing through folder after folder I was able to fashion what I think is a great representation of some of Heavy Metal’s greatest ladies. The photos are filed alphabetically and no one pictured below should find you scratching your head. As time permits I’ll add in more text but for now please enjoy the photos. They were all taken by me from across a numerous span of years at a wide number of venues in our region. Enjoy.

Lamb Of God will bring a new level of heavy to Coney Island with their show at the Ampitheater. They will be joined by Killswitch Engage, Baroness and Suicide Silence so you know it’s going to be a night to remember. While you are in Coney Island, be sure to enjoy a walk on the Boardwalk and a stop at Nathan’s for some eats. You’ll thank me later.

The Press Release:
LAMB OF GOD follows 2020’s No. 1 Hard Rock Album with a vicious new testament. Riding high on a creative renaissance saluted by the likes of Rolling Stone and NME, the Grammy-nominated goliath returns with the gloriously unhinged Omens, produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur (Korn, Megadeth).

The first single, “Nevermore,” arrives on Friday, June 10. Omens follows on October 7 via Epic Records.
