Marvel Comics First Issues Coming January 2017

Hey there readers and Happy New Year once again. We are getting to the comic book posts a day later than usual since we had the whole “2017 Wish” for you to digest first. So here I am with the Marvel Comics stuff first and one of the interesting things is the whole “Monsters Unleashed” storyline. I’ve been posting the news about these over the last couple of months in an effort to have you better prepared for the invasion and you can re-examine those articles by clicking on THIS LINK. As we’ve done over the past years, the press copy and images come from the Marvel side of the fence and the I’ll close up with some personal choices. Here we go.

SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #1.MU: A MONSTERS UNLEASHED TIE-IN! Spider-Man and Deadpool find themselves face-to-face(-to-face?) with one of the dozens of monsters smashing and stomping their way through the Marvel Universe! Ever the stalwart hero, Spider-Man has to use his powers (and responsibilities) to fearlessly fight the freakish monsters, saving many civilians at great cost to himself! Meanwhile, Deadpool is about as helpful as he usually is.

Marvel’s “MONSTERS UNLEASHED” Unleashes Monster-Sized Tie-Ins

Beginning in January of 2017, Marvel Comics brings on an epic tale of “Monstrous” proportions LOL, I am speaking none other than “Monsters Unleashed”. Joining a several issue series will be a number of special tie-in comics and here is the scoop on the first two to be released. Dig in.

New York, NY—October 18th, 2016 — This January, it’s all hands on deck as the Avengers, the Champions, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the X-Men, the Inhumans and more stand toe-to-toe with hordes of giant monsters in MONSTERS UNLEASHED #1! As Cullen Bunn and five of the biggest artists in the industry bring you a spectacular clash of heroes vs. monsters, the action is spilling out into the rest of the Marvel Universe! Today, Marvel is pleased to announce SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL #1.MU and AVENGERS #1.MU as the first two one-shots getting in on the massive monster mayhem!

Just kidding, Deadpool is going to be about as helpful as he usually is. Then, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes take the fight to the monsters in AVENGERS #1. MU! Can a team of some of the strongest characters around hold the line against the monster invasion? Or will they be crushed like everyone else?
