About the Film: As The Palaces Burn is a feature-length documentary that originally sought to follow the band and their fans throughout the world, to demonstrate how music ties us together when we can’t find any other common bond. However, during the filming process in 2012, the story abruptly took a dramatic turn, bringing the band into a Kafkaesque nightmare, when lead singer Randy Blythe was arrested on charges of manslaughter, blamed for the death of one of their young fans in the Czech Republic. What followed was a heart-wrenching courtroom drama that left fans, friends, and curious onlookers around the world on the edge of their seats.

I’ve discussed the Lamb Of God documentary “As The Palaces Burn” a couple of times already and if you’ve not yet seen the trailer for the film just click HERE because the chance to see this is my next contest.
The Details: The soon to be released new documentary film “As The Palaces Burn” by Lamb Of God was originally supposed to be a continuing look into the aggressive bands life and times on the road but when they arrived in Prague, Czech Republic in 2012 and were greeted by armed police officials it changed very dramatically. It was then that their singer Randy Blythe was arrested for manslaughter based on the death of a fan who had stage-dived at a two years prior show and this film focuses strongly on that story and presents their fans with a gripping film. It’s being screened at the great Highline Ballroom this Monday March 3rd and that being said it is an honor to offer fans of the PiercingMetal site, blogs and social networking tools the chance to enjoy this film that evening. According to the venue posting The film will include a new/pre-recorded Q&A with the band members that will be available exclusively to audiences attending the theatrical screenings.
