More than a month after the Seventh Season finale, the CW Entertainment Network has cancelled DC’s “Legends Of Tomorrow” series. Below you’ll find the tweet sent out by showrunner Keto Shimizu. I’ll add more later on.
Thank you to our fans; your love and passion for our strange band of misfits has made every break, every script, every daily, every cut, and every mix worth all the hard work. We see you, we love you, and you’ll always have a place on the Waverider. ❤️
It was interesting to find The CW Network making us wait so long for all of the superhero shows but now that there are something like six of them, it makes sense to parse them out to not overwhelm the viewers. If you’ve not been paying attention, we’ve already touched upon the premieres of “Supergirl”, “Arrow”, “Black Lightning” and “The Flash” in posts of their own and ALL of these shows exist in the same universe of characters with the only exception being Black Lightning. Let’s take a glance at the cool season poster, the last season recap and some old and new casting.
Season 3 Recap: In season three, the team discover that they created anachronisms throughout time, and Rip has formed the Time Bureau to help fix them. Rip tells the team of the demon Mallus, whose follower Nora Darhk has resurrected her father Damien and Amaya’s granddaughter Kuasa, also recruiting Gorilla Grodd so that they can release Mallus from his prison by perverting history. The team loses both members of Firestorm, but is joined by Zari Tomaz, a hacktivist from 2042 whose air-controlling amulet is connected to Amaya’s totem, and Wally West / Kid Flash, a speedster formerly under the tutelage of the Flash. I’m continuing along with the trailer reveals by The CW Television Network that came care of last weeks Comic Con International: San Diego or “SDCC”. There were quite a few of them so it was better to give you one per day alongside the other posts that are set to go online. To say that I’ve got my DVR running overtime with all of the shows that feature the colorful DC Comics characters would be an understatement. Let’s see, I think that I am recording five from The CW alone and there are more on other networks as well. I’m up to “Legends Of Tomorrow” which will begin its third season this October and is the final show in the Arrowverse as we know it. Check it out.

The CW Network shows no signs of stopping with all of their DC Comics properties that they are bringing to small screen life and now “Legends Of Tomorrow” will join both “Arrow” and “The Flash” as an offering. It’s a spin-off based on the two series and will unite numerous heroes from across space and time. Check out the poster, the premise and the cast rundown. I’ll return afterward with some added thoughts.
