Greetings and felicitations my fellow Geeks and welcome to PiercingMetal’s comprehensive overview of the 2019 New York Comic Con. As you might notice, this is still the Day One visuals from the massive four-day affair but I am winding down on this day and will be sharing the sights and scenes from Day Two soon enough. Continue reading Scenes From New York Comic Con 2019: Day One (Part Four)
As previously discussed, I was in attendance at the annual Book Expo and Book Con that was being held at the famous convention center the Javits. Technically speaking, this is being loaded up on the final day of the Expo part of the convention which is the more business side. The Book Con portion begins tomorrow and will run the entire weekend. During the more business side of it all I try to see what the folks at the comic book publishers are doing if they are in attendance and having already presented some of the findings at Image Comics (seen HERE), its time to share my quick visit to the DC Entertainment booth.
By now you’ve probably surmised that the end of these installments is drawing near and you are correct in the assumption. Of our Day Four posts, this is the second to last one so if you’re just now joining us at the penultimate chapter of my 2018 New York Comic Con posts, I’d ask that you click HERE first to see all of the chapters that have come before this latest one. I’m in the Artist Alley a bit during this chapter so a lot of talented people to take note of and thank for their contributions to the comics medium. Continue reading Exploring New York Comic Con 2018: Day Four (Part 2)
Okay so here we are again and before this installment gets underway let me thank you for sticking with this group of narratives for so many parts already. To me as a photographer and journalist, the NY Comic Con is one of the most daunting of events to cover because its not only massive in scope but its also taking over other locations as well. Sure we have the Press Badge as our credentials but that doesn’t let you jump lines to cover panels and appearances, you have to arrive early as all heck to make sure you are inside those. As result, I stick to the Javits Center generally and explore as much as possible as you have seen in the past posts. Day Three is the Saturday session and the most attended historically speaking. Part 1 of this days overview will begin in a moment and find me exploring Artist Alley and some other regions.
