Hey so remember a couple of months ago when I did a post about the first-ever “Anime NYC” convention that was going to happen in November next year? Okay, so the other day they announced that the tickets for this sure to be massive anime and manga event were on sale to the general public. A Japanese pop culture convention launching November 17-19, 2017 in New York’s Javits Center, Anime NYC will bring fans together with anime and manga publishers including Crunchyroll, Funimation, and VIZ Media and guests from both America and Japan. Leftfield Media Announces “Anime NYC” Convention For 2017

As you read this notice, I am getting more and more excited for this years NY Comic Con at the Javits Center which will begin in the coming weeks. I might have mentioned elsewhere that I am once again attending as a member of the accredited press and I look forward to bringing you hundreds and hundreds of images across a wide number of posts. Now, the other day I caught wind of a brand-new convention that will be happening in Javits at the end of 2017 called “Anime NYC” and since its a new event and sounded like something you would enjoy I am presenting the full press release that I discovered. Read it at your leisure and I will return with a few thoughts about it afterward.

ANIME NYC CONVENTION TO LAUNCH IN 2017: “Crunchyroll Presents Celebration of Anime and Manga in New York City”

LeftField Media today announced the debut of Anime NYC, a new convention focused on anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture launching next year in New York City. The first Anime NYC will take place November 17­19, 2017 in Midtown Manhattan’s Javits Center and bring fans together with guests from Japan and publishers across America. Anime NYC will be presented by anime streaming portal Crunchyroll and built with the support of industry partners Funimation, VIZ Media, and Kinokuniya Bookstore.
