Anime NYC 2025 Takes Over The PiercingMetal Instagram

It was just this past weekend that the PiercingMetal High Command was once again in attendance for the continually expanding Anime NYC convention at the Javits Center. While this is their ninth year of operating the exciting convention, its technically the eighth in-person event as 2020 was forced into being a virtual one due to the pandemic. I’m posting this alert a couple of days post-convention since I needed to use one day to recharge and recalibrate not only the gear but myself. Having attended all four days and covering some serious ground I was completely exhausted. This post is being done to direct you all over to the Official PiercingMetal Instagram which will be taken over by the visuals that we found at the con. Once again I paid a heavy emphasis on the cosplayers since they were so awesome and had some incredible costumes. My Instagram takeover begins with the visual that you see down below but if you also want to see all of the coverage posts and features that have been done you can click HERE as that will open up a new browser tab with the content that’s been dedicated to the 2025 convention. I should mention that while this post presents you with the first Gram post from the event, I’ve been posting since Thursday so there are dozens of visuals to enjoy and comment on from the 2025 Anime NYC. I’m not the biggest study of Anime so if you know a cosplayer who is in a photo or the character that they were bringing to life I encourage you to engage with us and chime in with that information so I can make the proper edits.

Today: Anime NYC 2025 Begins @ Javits Center (8/21/2025)

Greetings and Felicitations to all of the Anime and Manga fans out there in the readership. Today is the start of the always awesome Anime NYC Convention at the Javits Center and is celebrating its eighth annual in-person event. As longer tenured readers know, this event is organized and curated by the fine folks from Leftfield Media and a major sponsor is Crunchyroll. Once again the event has been scheduled for the summer months as opposed to being held in November and I think that it is here to stay at this time of the year. Truth be told I don’t mind this at all since there aren’t too many conventions that I attend during this part of the summer. They’ve announced that they are going to take over even more space on the expanded Javits Center floor and to entice you just a little bit more, the event is now four days over its traditional three. The Play NYC convention will also be integrated into the mix as it was last year and if you missed the ANNOUNCEMENT back in May, PiercingMetal will once again be one of the accredited press exploring the floor, meeting the exhibitors and snapping photos of the amazing cosplayers that we encounter. I am looking forward to this for sure.
