Hello there my fine toy and collectible loving readers, this is just a quick note to let you know that the 2014 Toy Fair is officially in NYC over at the Javits Center and that I will be heading over their brandishing my best plastic sword and shield in order to bring you the scoop on the latest offerings from some of our favorite companies. I’ve been attending this awesome industry event for the past three years as a member of the press and its always exciting to share the latest developments in the action figure world to your attention. With the upcoming “Guardians Of The Galaxy”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Captain America The Winter Soldier” and “Godzilla” films being among the properties that are hitting the big screen this year, I am sure that our toy collections are going to find us running out of cash quite a few times. Don’t blame me of course, you can point the finger at Diamond Select Toys, Mezco Toyz, Dark Horse and NECA to start (we are only kidding lads as you know we LOVE what you release). I will once again be joined by my comrade in arms Mr. Skeleton Pete who will not only be offering up some additional photographic assistance to me but also be compiling his own thoughts for narratives on his own branded site.

As you can see, I am up way early and that is because we want to hit the opening ceremonies this year. We’ve been told that Ms. Alicia Keyes is going to be a guest speaker and present her involvement in a gaming package. That sure sounds interesting and while this coverage is not the most Metal of topics, you know that we are raising our sites “Geekometer” to maximum since most of our fans love the action figure, comic book and film topics that get discussed here as well. The plan is to break the coverage up in the similar fashion to that of the NY Comic Con and span several days in serialized chapters that allow you maximum enjoyment. Stay tuned for those postings but for now it’s playtime for PiercingMetal 🙂
