Today is a great day to be a Heavy Metal fan my friends because not only has the mighty Judas Priest released their 18th album with “Firepower”, but the ever-inspiring Nightwish has delivered their greatest songs compilation “Decades” AND offered up a fourth Behind The Scenes trailer about it. As I’ve shared the previous three, it was a guarantee that I would continue the process so let’s look at the next chapter about this album and how it came to be.

As the excitement for the brand new Nightwish album “Decades” and its subsequent touring amps up, the fine folks over at Nuclear Blast Records have begun a series of “Behind The Scenes” clips. The first one was “Origins” and can be examined HERE in case you missed it. Now let’s all enjoy the second clip which is entitled “The Evolution Of Nightwish”. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m not going to lie to you, Nightwish is one of my very favorite bands and as I’ve mentioned time and time again over the years was very instrumental in the beginning of this journalistic passion of mine. Hearing about the process involved in deciding what songs make up this release of “essential tracks” is of great interest to me so I will be sharing the chapters as they come out. You might remember that I shared numerous installments when Nightwish gave us “Behind The Scenes” views about “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” and there were a LOT of those clips. If you didn’t see them and have some time to kill just click HERE for a rewind through time. I don’t have much more to add about this but I am very excited about the compilation and of course the tour which will be making a stop in my Metal Metropolis. I’m going to be there for sure.
