Scenes From New York Comic Con 2023: Day Four (Part 1)

Well greetings and felicitations my friends in convention land, I am happy to tell you that you have made it to the penultimate installment of the day to day coverage of the 2023 New York Comic Com. The Sunday edition of the event is known as “Family Day” and what this amounts to is a whole lot more little ones on the show floor and in the Artist Alley. For the last few years, the organizers of New York Comic Con have been permitting children up to a certain age to join their parents or guardians for free and while its always awesome to see the smiles of the younger generation of geeks, one must definitely watch their footing from the insane amount of strollers in the aisles. I’m stoked that the younger set comes into the event but I do feel that there is a certain age that they should begin this adventure because otherwise it just might be too much for them. Not that I have kids to worry about bringing along, but I don’t think one is doing any good by bringing an infant to the happening but again maybe that is just me. So how do we begin this installment? We begin like always by suggesting that you first click HERE to bring up a new browser tab with all of the posts that led up to this one. Trust me it makes it more fun to read and to follow along with. Now I will begin with my YouTube Short video of my arrival on Day Four. Let’s get into the mix

My first cosplayers of the convention today were more ready for an Anime event but that’s fine by me. There is such a mix of the conventional superheroes normally found at a comic convention and the Anime events these days.

Z2 Comics Announces Itinerary for New York Comic Con 2023

The Press Release:
Z2, the multiple Eisner-winning and Ringo-winning independent publisher of graphic novels, is set to raise their fist in celebration of their music creators this October at New York Comic Con with plans to host multiple signings at their booth, debut new titles, and participate in panels. Z2 Comics will invade New York Comic Con in October with an array of talent appearing in support of current and upcoming graphic novels. While days and times are yet to be finalized, among those confirmed include Halestorm, GWAR, Alan Robert of Life Of Agony, and Dee Snider of the legendary Twisted Sister.

The entire band of Halestorm, including Lzzy Hale, will appear at NYCC 2023 in support of their graphic novel entitled Hyde Manor released in late August 2023. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 2012 EP Hello, It’s Mz Hyde and its ensuing LP, The Strange Case Of…, the Hyde Manor graphic novel depicts the members of Halestorm encountering sinister doppelgangers of themselves. Within the decrepit halls of Hyde Manor, mirror reflections independently talk back and photographs transform to reveal sordid prophecies, leading the band to slowly succumb to madness while recording a new album. The tale creaks and twists with doom-filled revelations, perfectly tied to Halestorm’s scorching discography. Twins Brittany and Brianna Winner (the Twin Soul series), artist Sara Scalia, cover artist Alison Sampson, and colorist DJ Alonso weave a tale of the celebrated group as they seek refuge in the titular Hyde Manor—a sprawling gothic estate perched on the remote end of the Oregon Coast.

It’s always best to start at the beginning with this stuff. Let’s begin with this robotic Optimus Prime.
