DC Comics Reveals “Detective Comics” #1000 Variant Covers

This March, comic book history will be made as “Detective Comics” reaches its milestone 1000th issue. As you all know, this is the title that gave us “The Batman” way back in May of 1939 and before I get into the cover visuals, I wanted to share that classic issue with you all. Remember, Batman didn’t appear in the first issue of that comic but instead in its 27th.

PiercingMetal Goes To NY Comic Con & Anime Festival 2010: Day 2 (Part One)

Welcome back, we are glad that you decided to join us for the continuation of the tale that we began just the other day.  So where were we?  Oh yes, we were at the Jacob Javits Center enjoying the  5th Annual NY Comic Con & Anime Festival that was taking place over the course of three days.  The event was nothing less than massive in scope and resultant of all the observations found me not only sub-dividing the coverage into day by day but even splitting those up to be sure to get it all out to you in the best fashion.    With that being said, let the adventuring continue.

The shot above shows the lines as they wrapped around the block.  It was a lot worse than you see and this was very early in the morning.  I didn’t take any other outside shots since I needed to figure out how to quickly get inside.
