“Adventures Of The Super Sons” #1

ADVENTURES OF THE SUPER SONS #1: The Super Sons are back in an all-new 12-issue miniseries written by Peter J. Tomasi! Check out the lost and secret adventures of Damian Wayne (Robin) and Jon Kent (Superboy) in this flashback miniseries that takes a deep dive into the bombastic bromance between the sons of the DC Universe’s greatest heroes. It’s an epic dual storyline that transcends current events, as Superboy and Robin find themselves targets of an interstellar team of young badasses called the Gang.

THE SANDMAN UNIVERSE #1: From the mind of New York Times #1 bestselling author Neil Gaiman comes a new world filled with dreams, nightmares and wonderful characters living together in a shared universe for a new story unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. A rift between worlds has opened, revealing a space beyond the Dreaming. Meanwhile, a book from Lucien’s library is discovered by a group of children in the waking world where it should not exist. Lucien calls for Matthew the Raven to seek out their master, Daniel, Lord of Dreams.

As Matthew flies across the Waking World and others, he finds a young boy named Timothy Hunter who, in his dreams, has become the world’s most powerful magician—but in his nightmares he is the world’s greatest villain. A new House has appeared in the realm of the Dreaming: the House of Whispers, with its proprietor, a fortune-teller called Erzulie. And elsewhere, Lucifer has fallen again, only this time he might be trapped in a Hell of his own design. Spiraling out of this special issue will be four all-new series set in the Sandman Universe. It all starts here!

DC Comics Reveals “Action Comics” #1000 Retailer Variants

A few days ago I shared the variant covers that span the years that “Action Comics” has been on the stands. These clever editions took a decade each to showcase the adventures of Superman, the Man Of Steel. Hopefully you saw that post and if not, just click HERE for the overview. You’re going to need this when you visit your local comic book retailer next month when issue #1000 hits the stands. In addition to those variants, many of the retailers will have their own exclusive editions and I’ve secured a stockpile of images for you to peruse. I’ve named the retailer and the artist involved in the variant cover and I’ve started with the two popular comic retail giants of our own Metropolis and then the rest are in alphabetical order. Check it out.

DC Comics First Issues + Coming March 2016

Wow. Can you believe we are in March already? This 2016 year is playing no games in terms of the speed that its passing us by and while I often refer to the month as “March Metal Madness” for the heavy music stuff I guess I am going to start citing this as “March Media Madness” for the films and comic book postings like this one. That being said, let’s get to examining the offerings from DC Comics. Historically speaking about these posts, I’ve locked into only presenting those first issues coming out but with this month we have to pay some attention to the fact that the remaining titles that fell under “The New 52” labelling are reaching their 50th issue this month. Those covers and premise from the DC media desk are presented for your shopping ease. Let’s go.
