When tours like this get announced I cannot for the life of me fathom why the Boontown Rats did not like Mondays (or Garfield for that matter) but I digress. Norwegian black ‘n’ roll titans ABBATH will be returning to North America in 2020 as part of the Decibel Magazine tour along with MAYHEM. The dates will also include an appearance at Decibel Magazine Metal and Beer Festival in Philadelphia, PA on April 3. So this is it – the full line-up for Beyond the Gates 2019 in all its glory. And what a festival it’s going to be. The final piece of the puzzle is something of a treat. Abbath has just announced the follow up to his 2015 debut, entitled “Outstrider”. The album is due on July the 5th and the Beyond the Gates audience will be treated to a spectacular and exclusive homecoming show on the final day of the festival.
We are also pleased to announce the addition of German/Turkish black metal outfit Imha Tarikat. If you haven’t checked out their debut album “Kara Ihlas” yet, please do. Haunting and atmospheric black metal doesn’t get any better than this. Imha Tarikat will join Ritual Death and Watain for the very special Wednesday show taking place at Hulen. Children Of Bodom will begin their Big Metal Apple adventures with an appearance at Irving Plaza. They’ll be joined by the mighty Abbath and more so arrive early to see all the bands.
As the summer closes up kinda sorta, the tour announcements for the Fall are steadily streaming in and I apologize if I have said this the exact same way in another one of these posts. My time is rather limited today because I am heading out to see one of the final US shows in the storied career of the mighty Black Sabbath. They’re playing the PNC Bank Arts Center tonight and I have noticed that a select amount of tickets are still available for the interested parties. If you are in the vicinity I say go my friends because this really is apparently it. Finnish Metal Superstars CHILDREN OF BODOM will embark on a 21-date North American tour with special guests iconic black metal artist ABBATH, California-based metal act EXMORTUS, and Canada’s progressive metallers ONI. The trek presented by The Noise will commence in Quebec on November 23 and will hit 3 Canadian cities as well as Chicago, San Francisco, New York, and conclude in Brooklyn on December 19th.
